I SAW IT! LOVED IT!
For years, Starship Troopers has been one of my guilty pleasures. I always wondered what MST3K would do with it. I can cross it off the bucket list. 
Line I loved: At the very end when NPH “mind melds” with the brain bug, they ask him, “What’s he feeling, Colonel?” Riffer: “A whole movie about going to White Castle? Really, bug?”
Also: “Don’t worry. I’m just as good as John Solo.” And, “I love cupcakes!”
It’s a entertaining film as long as you simply assume that the name is a coincidence having nothing whatsoever to do with the book.
I miscalculated. I got to the theater a half hour before the show and it was completely sold out. I had really expected to see twenty or thirty old-school geeks in a mostly empty theater. I should have had more faith and bought tickets online. Oh, well. Good on you Mike, Kevin, and Bill!
They’re doing an encore presentation in September, I believe.
We saw it and loved it. Biggest laugh of the night was definitely, “Those were my wedding vows!” closely by followed by, “Llllllllllllllllladies!”
10/10, would do again.
