Tonight is the live showing of the Rifftrax presentation of “House On Haunted Hill.” It comes with two shorts and a guest riffer on one of them.

How strange. I’m going to a live show of Cinimatic Titanic tomorrow night.
Where? Your local city, which is not shown? Online? On TV? In your head?
The two Rifftrax shows I’ve seen were simulcast in theaters all over the country. I’ma look this show up right now.
We’re going, yippee! This is going to be my favorite date all year. I love old Halloween movies, I love Vincent Price, and I especially love going to Rifftrax Live shows.

Me too, Chicago! I hadn’t planned on it in advance, but husband-o-mine reminded me, and House On Haunted Hill was one of my guilty pleasures as a kid. Can’t wait for the skeleton hand part! It’ll be great seeing it on the big screen. I always like MST best when I actually like the movie too.
I’ll be at the Burbank show at 8:00! I am very excited!

Well, that was kind of weak. Not up to the level of the very best from MST3K, although the shorts were fun.
I had fun. But the movie just ends! Weird. The grocery witch was definitely the best, though. Terrifying.
I left after about 45 minutes. I’m a big fan (loved Plan 9 especially) and not a “movie leaver” by nature. It was just really bugging me for some reason. I’d love another “all-shorts” show.
There are already 2 riffs released for House on Haunted Hill. Anybody listen to those? how did they compare to tonight’s performance? I figured there would probably be a lot of recycled material.
Was this the Vincent Price version or the Geoffrey Rush version? The “witch” comment above leads me to the former, but I’m not sure, obviously.
LOVED IT! It is so great watching Servo and Crow talk as humans.
Best line, when a hand comes around the mouth of cute woman:
“Oh, Ben Rothlesberger!”
And: “Vote for Christine O’Donnell!”, when the grocery witch appears at the end.

Just came back from shopping and there was not one single witch harrassing me for buying processed foods.
The shorts were great. But the line that really got me was, “LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLadies.”
I wanted to go, but I had to teach a painting class until 8:45pm
