Anybody playing Draw Something?

Um, the word was Ireland for that one.

CRAP. I just sent That Same clue back to YOU for Ireland !:smack::smack:

So this game is like pictionary? Is it competitive? Cooperative? What are you trying to do?

Co-op, you are trying to guess each others drawings and put together a streak of correct guesses. It’s quite fun.

Add me if you want. Same name. I’m bad at drawing, and I think it’s a lot easier to draw on an ipad than a phone.

Also add me for words with friends, scramble with friends, or hanging with friends (all zynga, all work pretty well) if you’re interested.

The game is fairly glitchy - we’ve had to cancel a few games when they’ve mysteriously failed to show up, and I had to cancel with one person because they got tired of fixing it. It also doesn’t handle notificatons right.

It also has a surprisingly short dictionary - I’ve had the same words come up many times and I’ve not played more than maybe 100 or 200 turns. You’d think you could easily generate a dictionary of tens of thousands of these things easily.

My wife and I downloaded this game for our iphones a few weeks ago. At first it seemed ok and the idea, though basic, seemed like fun. We haven’t touched it since about 3 days after downloading for a couple of reasons:

  1. Games just get lost in the abyss. The night we downloaded it I sent her a drawing and it wouldn’t show up after hours of waiting. When I gave up and tried to start a new one with her it said “You’ve already got game going with her lets go find it” then it never did. It showed up the next night. This happened multiple times with multiple people.

  2. Drawing on the iPad may be better, I dunno, but trying to draw on the tiny iphone screen with your finger is an exercise in frustration.

  3. The game would be WAY better if they didn’t have canned words and let you make up whatever word you wanted to draw.

So we gave up on it due to the buggy online and the boring words to draw. I heard Zynga just bought this company and this game so we’ll see how it changes.

Looks like fun - my doper handle is my Draw Something name, I’m a terrible drawer so if you’re up for a challenge, start a game with me!

I’m pretty sure you’re not supposed to write words, Labtrash! :stuck_out_tongue:

Although I was kinda grateful for the hints…

I’m adding some people in this thread - I’m ZsofiaFejes because there was already a Zsofia. Also I am a very, very bad artist.

Ha, awesome zipline, SenorBeef!

The more I play this, the more I feel sorry for the people who have to try to make sense of my scrawls! It’s fun though.

Yours are awesome! I love how you’re always “Oh, shit, no” and trying something completely different. Sorry about that “virus” thing. I was all “Fever? No, there’s no e…”

ETA - by the way, I should be better now that I have bought green and brown. Also you can totally tell when you’re playing against an iPad. I am, obviously, not an iPadder.

That virus was a piece de resistance. :frowning:

Babale, don’t Balrogs have wings??

:)

Drawing from my phone, give me a break!!!

Isn’t there any way to go back and see what you drew again? I was trying to show off my Ewok and I couldn’t find a way. :frowning:

I don’t think so, but if you have an iphone, you can click the home button and standby button at the same time and take a screen shot - it’s added to the camer roll.

I found out that my cell phone drawings look like a left handed three year old drawing with someone else’s right hand.

I found out that I am not as clever as I thought I was. (See, that was the “Wow signal”?)

I’m slapping myself now

I recognized it after I gave up

From SETI, right?

Add “and wearing mittens” for my iPod work

Much easier on the iPad when I can get to it!
