Anybody pumped for the "Supernatural" season premiere tomorrow (9/28)?

Because I sure am!

The last we saw, the beautiful Winchester men and their beautiful car were pulverized by a demon-driven 18-wheeler. Wait, let’s provide some visuals: the beautiful Winchester men and their beautiful car.

What’s going to happen to that beautiful car?? And the boys? And the demon that killed their mother?

Whatever happens, I’m not worried. My favorite aspect of this show is the bond between the brothers, and among the brothers and their father, and that’s not going anywhere. Hell, even if one of them died, they’d somehow still be on the show.

But, oh, I can’t wait until tomorrow night!

Thanks for posting this. I wasn’t paying attention and I’d have missed it.

I love the show but hate the dad. What a twit. I was able to suspend disbelief until he showed up. Nothing that happened after they found him was logical. “We can’t stay together – you’ll be in danger!” What did he think they’d been doing without him – eating Cheetos on the couch?

I wanted to hate him from the time he made that totally unnecessary comment to Dean about him taking better care of the car (seriously, was there ever a better time to cry, “Oh no he DI’N’T!” at a TV?), but he kind of reminds me of my own dad (and my relationship with him mirrors Dean’s relationship with his), so I…sigh have to give him a second chance (and a third).

Plus, when he was all demony and menacing and talked about his “meat suit”? That was hot.

My roommate (who introduced me to the show when we moved in together) and I recently bought the whole first season on DVD, and just finished up. I’d actually forgotten how incredibly abrupt the ending of the finale was.

So, to summup, Dean is definitely dying, Dad’s not much better (although he was shot in the leg, not the organs), and Sam was just busted up before the accident, but could be pretty seriously hurt by now. Of course, if they’re all hospitalized, then there’s nobody to kill the bad guy, so I’m betting Dean’s on life support and Sam has to go save the day.

I wouldn’t mind if they closed out the UberDemon storyline. I like the stand-alone episodes. I know they need something big to follow, but there’s no end of possible apocalyptic bad juju that can be arced over a whole season. Dad’s gotta go because he ruins the dynamic between the brothers, which is my favorite part of the show. I don’t want him dead, I just want him to go off and do his own thing. The American Supernatural Hunter is an endangered species since Meg went on her killing spree–might as well split up again once everybody’s healed.

I assume this is a US premiere? Anyone have any info on when it will arrive in the UK?

I am rather ridiculously excited for tonight’s premiere. I’m saddened that there’s no love here for Dad, though. While I agree that John Winchester is maybe not all that huggable, he’s certainly doable. JD Morgan is uberhot.

Did anyone see the commercial for the new season last night? It appears that:

they’re introducing other “hunters”, one of whom is Alona Tal (previously Meg on Veronica Mars). It’ll be interesting to see where that goes.

Here’s hoping that the pretty boys and their pretty car can all be fixed up and restored to their previous pretty, pretty condition!

There’s definitely excitement in our household. We’re both newcomers to the show. I caught a couple of episodes last winter and thought my husband would like it. I was right. We watched all the reruns this summer. It’s just the thing for my Thursday night treadmill time.

Question: Is this the second or third season? If it’s the third, we need to rent the first on DVD. Thanks!

it’s the second. Only been one season so far.

Thanks! We haven’t missed many episodes then. Probably the first couple of episodes is about all. I’m admittedly a little disappointed. I like having a series DVD around to watch when there’s nothing else on.

Theres a competition at forteantimes.com to win season ! of Supernatural on DVD. not sure if there is any geographical restriction though.

My teen daughter is a big fan - not sure if she likes the boys or their car more!
I became hit or miss after every damn show I wanted to watch switched to Thursday night, and it turned into a taping extravaganza.
I missed the final ep, but my daughter said it was uber-creepy.
My only thought is that it would be a neat idea for them to get a new hot car for each season…

I’m embarrassed by my fangirly reaction to Jensen Ackles. I’m 35 years old! I shouldn’t be swooning over an infant with an overbite!

In any case, I’m definitely looking forward to tonight. And, despite his attractiveness, I would prefer Daddy Winchester die in a “there’s obviously a body” sort of way.

Hey, that boy is no infant – he’s 28 (just like me! oh, settle down, self), so you’re okay at 35. But isn’t he just aesthetically perfect? That picture of him I linked to in the OP – that’s like visual Valium to me. It takes me to a very happy place full of sunshine and chocolate.

one and only wanderers, I remember reading somewhere (sorry for the lack of an authoritative source) that the UK season 2 premiere would be in January and the Australian premiere would be in February.

Okay, I can handle getting all shmooey over a 28 year old. I don’t know if I should thank you for setting that demon free, though!

Heh heh heh.
Okay, that was AWESOME. I have to watch that again to soak it all in, but I loved it

Hey, how’d that post?

Anyway, yes. LOVED. But, no, Daddy W.!!! What are your boys going to do now without you, huh?

It was so wonderful seeing Sam fight for Dean like that. Dean, you know who loves you (well, namely, everybody who ever watches this show, but especially your brother). I loved seeing John tell Dean how proud he was of him, and how he put too much on Dean’s shoulders for too long – YES, way to finally be a good father! And then Dean doesn’t melt but puts his guard up and wonders whether Dad’s possessed. Awesome.

I cried when John died. Even though he had me yelling at the TV when he went down to the basement. Way to lie to Sam, dude.

I can’t wait to see how they recover their car.

spoiler!!!

some of us haven’t seen the episode yet and were subscribed to this thread!!

I’ve only seen a few episodes but was intrigued (mostly by Dean, ahem) so I wanted to start watching regularly this season but now it’s on opposite Grey’s Anatomy. Why are two of the four or so shows I actually watch on at the same time? And I don’t have Tivo or even a VCR.

Did anybody else go “Oooooh” when they saw the new flamey title?

Aaah! I’m so sorry about the spoiler! I was overexcited. I’ll ask a mod to fix it.

(But, if it’s any consolation, on another board we’re debating on whether or not that was the real end of John – maybe he’ll come back).
