I have a copy, but I found out that there is an upgrade 1.7.
It’s available for download, but being that I only have a dial-up internet connection and the file is about 28Mb, it would take about a week to get it that way. Even if the internet service I have was reliable.
Sooo… I was wondering if anyone would be willing to send me a cd with the update file on it, or point me to someone who can.
I actually got this game free (and unannounced) when I ordered a
different one, but i think I’ve played DK2 more.
I had a lot of fun with it, so I checked the company’s site and a few others and found the updates page. I tried checking with the company (Bullfrog/EA), but they woudn’t send me a cd (maybe cuz its such an old game).
btl , glad you discovered this great game! I’m also glad that Gravity will help you out, but the update shouldn’t really take all that long.
I just downloaded an update for Medal Of Honor Spearhead, and it was over 50MB. With a 56K modem and about 49K connection speed it took about 4 hours - still a long time, but just start the download before you go to bed!
And for reference, a 4 MB mp3 takes me about 12-17 minutes to download on a 56K modem.
Hey, Gravity, I did try to email you, but if you didn’t get it, it must have gotten lost, or something’s not working. Do you have a different email address we could try?
Jebus, was that a perfect setup for D_Odds or what?
IIRC the patch gives you new rooms depending on how you have an area configured, like super graveyard or something like that, that summoned more uber versions of what came out of the old rooms, but weren’t usable with the campaign.
I wish DK3 would come out, but it looks like that project is long dead.
Playing the game at midnight, the voice will mention it’s the witching hour. Stay up too late into the morning and the voice will remind you that even keepers need their sleep.
But my all time favorite bit from that game is when a demon strikes it rich in your casino, Disco Inferno starts playing and all your monsters start to dance. I can’t hear that song today without thinking about that.
