I wondered above if it was related to the DOS attacks that I’d read in a different thread were affecting Yahoo!. Googling on “denial of service” I see those attacks were actually against a company called Akamai, which has several clients including both Yahoo! and Google. Anyone know anything else?

Someone just told me that hotmail and yahoo are blocking gmail invitations. Any truth to this rumor? Sounds pretty dumb if they are.
I received my invite to my yahoo addy, and have been sending invites to both yahoo and hotmail addys successfully.

A quick warning, if you set your SDMB email to your new gmail account, the confirmation email will be tagged as Spam. If you’re not auto-deleting Spam, it will be in the Spam folder.

My invite came to a hotmail address. Mr. Cameron decided to nab one at an auction, and that one came to a hotmail address as well. Unless it’s something they started doing just today, the rumor isn’t true.
