I didn’t even know this was a thing. I just happened to stumble across it last night.
I thought it was pretty darn hilarious myself. “Curtis” has a very '80’s “your mama” style type sense of humor. And he was able to land it well.
I’m looking forward to see where they go with this.
I enjoyed it. I just hope they didn’t use up all their good ideas in the first episode. I laughed out loud when he grabbed the MTV flag and started fighting with it. Especially after the “Gen X” joke just before.
It succeeds in being its own thing while still keeping some connection to the origin and the vibe of the original show. I will keep watching.
…and apparently, it’s already been renewed for another season.
Four episodes in and I just realized that Curtis sings the end credits episode recap to the tune of the theme song.
Also, I miss Inside Job.
Yeah, that’s a weekly bonus. (I suspect that Keith David enjoys singing.)
I agree. It’s kind of a relief to see that President Curtis isn’t as obsessed by thoughts of Rick as we might have concluded from his episodes of R&M.
Like the parent show, they’re hitting some interesting sci-fi ideas while remembering to keep the character interactions fresh and plausible.
(And thanks for bringing the news that it’s been renewed! I like knowing that we will be having 20 weeks of intriguing new content each year, instead of the 10 we had when it was only Rick & Morty.)

As a “workplace comedy” this show has a lot of potential.
