Anyone been to Cornerstone Festival?

I’m thinking there might be a chance since this is a Chicago based board. I’ve gone for the past 23 years, out of the festival run of 29 years, have a nice display of all my wristbands. The land has been sold so it’s pretty final that it’s not coming back, so I was just curious if there was anyone here.

It’s been a bad year for Christian music festivals. Ichthus is defunct and liquidating, and Purple Door is on a serious hiatus at the very least. And there’s a rumor going around Sonshine is in trouble.

I went in 2000 (“C2K”), and am extremely glad I did, though the band lineups in subsequent years weren’t as impressive so as to tempt me to return.

Yes, 2000 was probably the zenith, although the years before had good lineups, and the years afterwords I started to enjoy it more as I met people and returned to camping after a few years of staying in seedy motels.

I felt like setting fire to my tent the last day like they do on Survivor, since I knew I’d never sleep in it again.
