Anyone else annoyed at Madonna (for the same resons I am)?

Well, since it wasn’t just the one song that CrapHats were illegally downloading, but the entire album Madonna is quite right to be more then a little pissed off.

I like her music, I will say that. I have the Immaculate Collection, and it’s pretty damn good.

That being said, Madonna herself gets annoying.

I love how Madonna’s confrontational, anti file-sharing stunt completely blew up in her face. For those who don’t know, she released spoof files that said “What the fuck do you think you’re doing?” as she was preparing to release her new album. Now, DJs all over the world are incorporating the “what-the-fuck” file into their mixes for all to enjoy.

Frankly, I’m still pissed at her for butchering Don McLean’s work.

Madonna’s music absolutely bites…always has, and always will  She has no talent, is butt-ugly, and has to reinvent herself every six months or so to keep the public’s attention.

She’ll be 45 this August.

Ugh, that made me want to slit my wrists.

Madonna reached her peak over ten years ago. Hell, even I was a fan back then. But ever since The Immaculate Collection her schtick has become more and more bizarre. Like she’s constantly having to top herself. It is backfiring.

Personally, I think she constantly reinvents herself because that’s the only way she is going to remain in the limelight. If she depended soley on her musical (and acting) talent, she’d be a blurb in an 80’s trivia game by now.

Truly talented people do not need to constantly reinvent themselves. Did Ella Fitzgerald ever have to reinvent herself? I also believe that without MTV and music videos, she never would have even made past the first album.

The Beatles reinvented themselves.

Bob Dylan reinvented himself.

Elvis Presley reinvented himself.

Miles Davis reinvented himself.

The Rolling Stones reinvented themselves.

Eric Clapton reinvented himself.

Chuck Berry reinvented himself.

The Bee Gees reinvented themselves.

But of course, none of them are talented, right?

None of those people changed their image every couple of years like Madonna has. Man, Elvis wore the tight, sequined jumpsuits even when he really should’ve stopped wearing 'em!

The difference also is, the above-mentioned people actually have talent and do not have to solely depend on a new gimmick to stay on top.

I also think comparing Madonna to that talent pool is, well, ninnyish.

Ah but to counterpoint…

Frank Sinatra never reinvented himself, the world reinvented itself around Sinatra.
