Anyone else buy Piper Perabo as a CIA agent?

Here’s Valerie Plame, who was outed as a CIA agent.

And here’s young Julia Child, who worked as a file clerk for the OSS, but who’s spy career was better known for her ability to throw fancy dinner parties, sit next to various diplomats and get them to talk about all sorts of things.

Here’s Piper in Covert Affairs. Not a completely unreasonable stretch.

I just watched the pilot. It was pretty good! Perabo was convincing, the action scenes were well done, and the supporting cast was solid–especially the blind guy. I’m going to keep watching.

I found myself enjoying it. I was surprised Gorham wasn’t her action agent buddy, but was instead blind tech support. House’s Amber was barely recognizable as her sister

Yes, she was interviewed on Jimmy Fallon, and said she got a mini tour of the CIA and got to met some female agents and said they were all pretty hot.

CTB was her sister? I completely missed that.

Don’t suppose there’s any chance of a Burn Notice crossover? Or would that conflict with the idea Michael Weston used to work for an agency so secret not even the CIA knows it exists?

I just watched part of it. Alas, I didn’t know the premier was two hours long.

It started slowly, but it wasn’t too bad. I may give it a second look.

90 minutes, I think.

She’s got the sassy-sexy cop thing going. Well, she’s CIA, but still. It’s the same thing as far as TV pigeon holes are concerned. I didn’t buy Farah Fawcett as a crime-fighter, but she sure was fun to watch!

Piper Perabo strikes me as too cute for this.

I’m reminded of a review of Elektra (I think it was probably the AV Club) in which the reviewer said that even when she was kicking ass, Jennifer Garner tended to look like she was thinking of kittens.
