Anyone else have a metallic taste in their throats using cosmetics & drinks?

For a couple of years I have developed a rather sensitive body.

If I put on a specific sunscreen or lip balm, or drink a Slurpee, I can taste the chemicals in the back of my throat.

With facial stuff, mainly sunscreen, this is a faint metallic taste. The sunscreens that come in a stick that you swipe on your face that have color in them ( purple) are extremely odious. Neutragena’s face stick sunscreen is about the only one I have encountered with no vile after taste.

Lip balm, my addiction, is more of a stranger taste back there.

I hadn’t had a Slurpee in years and had to toss 3/4’s of it out because of the chemical taste that lingered in the back of my throat.

Naturally, this makes me worry about deoderant, as it is a bunch of chemicals I swipe on my pits that are then absorbed into my system close glands that are rather crucial for the rest of my life. However, switching over to Tom’s of Maine natural Deoderant leaves me smelling like a rancid hunk of beef at the end of a rather unevental, nonsweaty winter day here. I cannot even imagine what the stench would be like in the summer. I am not hippie enough to go without some sort of BO and I might give the Crystal another try again.
Anyone else as sensitive as me or am I an odd duck?

I have this problem too. Any sort of makeup (foundation, lipsticks, eyeliners and shadows, blush…) or lip balm or sunscreen that I apply to my face leaves me with that metallic taste in my mouth. Fortunately it seems to be limited to that though… I don’t have an issue with deoderants, or detergents. My mother claims that it’s because I’ve had sensitive skin since I was little, but nothing else really seems to bother me.

I’ve never had a Slurpee, so I don’t know what to tell you about that.

Yeah, I am not alone.
