Anyone else obsessed with locked threads?

Great! Now I gotta go find some locked threads to see what all the hub-bubs about!!! Thanks a lot!!!

It shouldn’t be too hard to start a thread that get’s locked. Just make sure you turn the conversation to

*** post edited by Slythe * **
And then say something like

*** post edited by Slythe * **
And conclude with a tirade against

*** post edited by Slythe * **
How easy is that?

[sub] p.s. Slythe didn’t really edit this but as my fave mod I’m sure the humour will be understood /grovelling

Uh, dpr, man, that one’s been done. It wasn’t pretty.

Great!

Not only do I feel unoriginal but I now have the spectre of mod retribution hanging over my head.

It’s starting to look like a Monday not Friday.

I’m glad to see I’m not alone. Locked threads are like cracks in the facade, where social structure breaks down, and we get a glimpse of our own mortality. Or else they can be a good source of juicy gossip. Either way.

Anticipation
Antici-pay-yay-tion

Slythe: to quote Buzz Lightyear… um… You’re mocking me, aren’t you?

Yeah.
Sure.

Whatever you say.

snicker

Mostly, I click on them with a sigh, thinking, “What the hell did Serlin do now?”

You run a tight ship, slythe. Just thought I’d tell you the work is appreciated.
And dpr, I appreciated the joke. Homer did it before and got attacked (nay, banned) for it, but in your case, you put a disclaimer at the bottom. Guess that’s the noticable difference.

Actually, I didn’t mind the joke at all.
Too bad I didn’t notice the disclaimer before I sent in the 300 subscription cards to Highlights for Children with your name and address on them.

Everybody run and look! Serlin’s thread is locked!
