Anyone excited about the new season of "The Shield"?

I didn’t get to watch all of last season, so I don’t really know where all of the characters stand. I believe the last episode I saw was when Shane (Walt Goggins) beat up that other detective from the strike team (the one that was supposed to monitor the strike team’s actions and report them to the captain) and the guy took off and crashed into a car when he passed out, or something. Anyway, I’m pretty sure that was in season three, but I’m also sure that I missed alot of season two as well. I’ve been meaning to buy all three seasons, but I guess that’s a real problem when you don’t have any money (yet another thread for another time).

So…anyone gonna watch it?

I can’t wait. I’ve watched every episode so far, and I am hooked.

CCH Pounder is, IMHO, the best actress on television today. Wonder what they are gonna do with her.

I can’t wait. I’ve been looking forward to it for months, especially after the crazy season finale. But I thought season 3 was by far the weakest to date (don’t get me wrong–that simply means it’s better than 95% of everything else on TV), and I’m hoping for big things from season 4.

I can’t believe that I managed to miss most of the past season and a good amount of the second. Could someone fill me in to the major things that happened throughout seasons two and three? What ever happened after the strike team took the money train?

Oh. Man.

I’m stoked. And I’m not even a person that uses the word “stoked”. But I am. Excited, even. I’ve been in an absolute tizzy since the last episode - hell, no, just the last five MINUTES of the last episode - of Season 3. I just… argh! I have so much I want to express and only one mere language to express it in. I’ll just stay silent instead of ranting out twenty pages of The Shield creamin’…

Stupid question: When does it premiere?

Season three had some really great moments but it was the weakest season. It lacked a lot of the punch of season one and the building tension of season two’s story arc. Three was just a let down after that great season two ender that left you going “What happens now?”

Still I can’t help but get high hopes for season four. We’re back on more neutral ground for the strike team and they could go anywhere this season.

This Tuesday, the 15th.

I’ve seen the first two episodes (don’t ask) and I was quite pleased. When I heard of the addition of Glenn Close, I thought it would be a disaster. She is really impressive and not what I was expecting as a character. “The Farm” is being taken in a new direction with a lot of potential pitfalls. Shane has moved to Vice, it looks like he and Vic are going to be butting heads.
