After this wedding, what are the odds of Charles abdicating after the queen dies?
The question really should be, considering the longevity of the Queen Mother, whether or not Charles will still be alive when the Queen dies.
OK, I drank some shots of kool-aid and broke down and watched some of wedding rerun on TLC.
What is up with some of these hats? Eugenie and Beatrice. WTF? There was one woman with what looked like a black and decker iron on her forehead. Not even on top of her head.
Prince Charles looks like he is as old as the Queen. He is only 62.
Kate is gorgeous and her sister Pippa is breathtaking.

Charles) Darn, I thought for sure today was the day I’d get to be king. Why doesn’t she just die already

So what is the over/under on #days before Kate drops a heir? 300 days? 365 days?

Somehow, it isn’t hard to imagine that in the past few months both have joked about running off to Vegas to get married by an Elvis impersonator or running off to Gretna Green. It also isn’t hard to imagine that they were sorely tempted, but knew they’d have to go through this anyway.
You know, I heard something that got me in a bit of a tiff. Some commentator (have forgotten which network; it hardly matters) said that William will go back to his RAF job, and “I dunno what Katherine will be doing.” in reference to her not having a job. But, IMO, she HAS a job: creating a home for them and their future children. It is not an idle position, depending on what Kate wants to do with it.
We’ve been told they won’t have any staff and that “they’ll do the washing up.”, so what is wrong with Kate being a housewife? Between appearances, family duties and the daily stuff, she’s busy enough. My point is that even 20 years ago, what the bride of a Royal would be doing was not discussed-her job was to remain pretty and pretty behaved and not cause scandal, and also to produce heirs. Nobody questioned when Diana gave up doing her creche work upon marriage.
I fully realize that having both spouses working while there are no kids is fairly standard now, but I was taken aback by the assumption that this was not an option for Kate.

she will be doing what she was doing up to the wedding… being will’s partner and supporting him. i’m sure they will have her going about more, perhaps some appearences around wales.
new outfits and back to buck house. wills is in a tux, and kate in another sexier long white dress (no train) to dance the night away!
hope they have a great time. it is easier when you are #2 not #1.
odd thought… when i saw pippa’s dress, i thought now there’s a dress you can wear again for your own wedding!
Everyone will be in a different outfit for the dinner reception and dance. The wedding dress code was morning suit, the dinner-dance is in the evening and therefore white tie. Besides there’s no way Catherine is going to be able to dance in that dress (at least not without tripping over her train and falling on her royal arse).
I’ve heard rumours that he’s charted a yacht. It would be their best option to go somewhere sunny and still have maximium privacy.
The only heads of state or government invited were either foriegn royals or Commonwealth dignitaries. It’s only a state occasion if he heir to the throne is getting married; William is the heir to the heir of the throne.
I have a feeling that Her Majesty will simply refuse to die until Camilla is dead.
Charles dying before the Queen would solve the problem of what to call Camilla. Protocol says Queen, but public sentiment is against that.
