Off to sign the paperwork. Prince William’s signature is just “Cambridge” now, isn’t it? His wife get’s to sign he name as simply “Catherine”.
I thought it was funny the Queen doesn’t sing but her husband just looked like he was mouthing the words anyway.
And WHY did William and Kate go in the “private” part of the cathedral (or whatever it is) to sign the registry. I smell a conspiracy brewing here. I demand they release the official documents NOW
In boring seriousness, this is what happens at most English weddings.
Hope she leaves the bouquet at the Unknown Soldier’s tomb - always thought that was a nice touch.
Flower girls and boys are holding up well.
Yikes! she did NOT!
Wow, this parade is pretty impressive.
Sorry, procession not parade.
Better than the package holiday minivans they used to ferry the family to the ceremony in any case.
Now they are riding in an open coach. Lucky thing England doesn’t have a grassy knoll or a Book depository
The Queen and Mr Queen look like they are in real good health. When you see them walk they don’t look they they have any movement problems at all.
Is the Bride bowing her head when her husband salutes?
==eta==
Yes, she is. Wonder why.
What’s all over the streets? They look like they’re covered in a thin layer of mud.
It’s the appropriate response to receiving a salute. I was always taught to incline my head when my father’s soldiers saluted.
Oh, and it’s sand on the roads, to stop the horses from slipping on the tarmac.
It’s russet tarmac, very popular in London. No idea why. But it looks quite tidy.
I used to work in a tall building overlooking all of the places you can see here. We were told if you stand at the windows facing the palace and even looked like you’re pointing something, you’d be taken out by snipers. Sounds like bull to me, but I never tempted fate.
I stand corrected.
Everyone, including the horses, seem to having a great time. (Except that one coachman.)
They look happy. I am happy.
I clocked him too. Miserable fucker.
In the long shots looking face-on to the palace, you can see the top of the building I used to work in, hovering over the treeline to the left.
Well no, you’re right about the actual red roads. I assumed he meant all the stuff scattered about, covering the manhole covers and so on.
