Has anyone gotten a new nickel, like the ones pictured here (the fourth picture has not been released yet, to my knowledge:) )?
Did you specifically go out looking for them? If not, did you notice it right away?
I heard an interview with the artist who did the work on NPR. I didn’t realize that the Bison was male.
I think I’m behind the times because last week for the first time I saw the “new” 2004 Louisiana Purchase nickel. The “head” side is the same ol’ Jefferson but the “tail” side is the shaking hands, as seen here. I’ve known about the new 2005 nickels for some time, but was clueless they made these semi-new 2004 ones.
They feel really weird.
I ordered a few rolls from the mint, but they haven’t arrived yet.
