Um… the traffic isn’t the problem at the Mongolian Barbecue. They don’t take reservations for groups smaller than, say, about twenty, and the wait to get in on a Saturday night can extend from thirty minutes to an hour and a half. The line routinely stretches out the door and down the sidewalk, even in December.
(Not kidding. I don’t know why those fools stand out there, but they do.)
I’ve no problem with hanging from the ceiling and talking loudly.
think, absolutely not!! Come on up, if you’re brave enough. We’re supposed to get another 4-8" of snow tonight. But, Michigan is SOOOOO good about plowing, I’m just sure the roads will be clear by Friday (I’m rollin’ my eyes here).
As a matter of fact, where’s Uncle Beer? Are you coming up?
How’s about we do the Macaroni Grill at about 7:00? Anyone have the number to call and see if they take reservations? If someone can get it to me, I’ll call.
hmmmm. 7 pm on a Friday night? Maybe BunnyGirl we could share transportation? (I’m not good at driving at night). You have my business card (course, I’m on my way to the jail right now…)
We’re heading for Traverse City for that weekend, so while you’re carrousing, hanging from the ceiling, drinking loudly, and having entirely too much fun, I’ll be trying to avoid the snowbanks of US 131. Tell you what - tip a bottle in my name, and I’ll buy you one at the next MIDopeFest.
FTR, I’ll be swinging through Cinci and on up through Dayton and Toledo on my way up, if anyone needs to grab a ride along those routes, drop me an email @ thinksnow@ohiostatebuckeyes.com
RE; wringlet - jury still out. Let’s see, bringing him with would make things easier for me, but he might enjoy it… hmmmmmmmmm
he’ll probably be with his dad that night, though.
Oooh. Can’t have him having any fun, now! I know that when I would get grounded as a teen, my parents actually were pretty strict about that. No social life whatsoever, even if it was going to be with a bunch of old fuddy-duddy adults that agreed with my parents on the grounding.
Wring, having your business card and knowing where it is are two different things! Happy to oblige - you’re more than welcome to ride with Randy and I. We don’t stay too late usually cause 1) we’re party poopers (JK) and 2) I turn into a pumpkin around 11:00 or so. But, please, feel free to ride along.
Email me with your number and tell me where you live - we can pick you up or meet you somewhere.
count me in!!! count me in!!! Juniper200 can drive me from Monroe - she won’t be the newest member and she’ll get a big ego trip from it. I’m eager to meet all you Lansing/East Lansing-ites as well. Ann Arbor people, maybe…

Current plan: 29 December, 2000, at 1900 EST (7:00 P.M. for those who use that weird 12-hour time), at the Macaroni Grill in Ann Arbor. I will post directions in the next couple of days.
Not to usurp LL’s fine work here, but in case any of you are feeling a little anxious about having a vague idea where MG is…
Macaroni Grill is off the State Street Exit (I think it’s #177) of I-94. If you’re coming from 23, like you Monroe/Ohio people will be, or you up-north people might be, you want to take I-94 WEST towards Chicago. State street is your very next exit, I believe. Turn NORTH towards Ann Arbor. Macaroni Grill is on your left just north of the exit, visible from State Street. It’s tucked in amongst a bunch of buildings that ring the mall, such as Bennigans, a health club, etc, but it faces State Street.
LL can flesh these out better, but there you have it, a preview.
