Sorry gang, but I’m going to have to pass on this one. My husband made other plans for the evening and the only babysitter we trust can’t watch the kids for us that evening, so I’m gonna have to stay home with the kiddies that night. Have fun!

Oh, and BunnyGirl does, in fact, turn in to a pumpkin. At the last Ann Arbor Fest, last January, by the time she left, she was trailing vines. 
I’ll give xploder a call tomorrow & see if he’s going to make it. I hope he can. And I hope he brings Mrs. xploder. They’re extraordinarily cool, and I will most likely be spending New Year’s Eve with them as well. Yay!

I just found out this evening that we may be a little late. Mr. Persephone has students, and he may not be getting done until around 6-6:30. It’s an hour’s drive, so we may not be there until 7:30-8:00. But we are still planning on being there!
So, we still on, or what?
I’m in, though I won’t know until later this week if I’ll have a place to stay in Toledo (and if I do, I’ll be bringing someone, if not, I’ll be Mr. SoloSnow).

I just got an email from pipefitter. I had emailed him after we started planning this, to let him know we were getting together. He says he may be able to join, but he’s not sure yet, and he might have his kids, and is it okay to bring them if he does?
I told him that okay on the kids (Macaroni Grill is a restaurant, correct?), and to keep me posted on whether or not he could make it. I’ve met him, and he’s a very nice guy. You’ll like him.
It’s about time for a headcount, don’t you think? All those that will be in attendance, please raise your hand!

My husband will not be attending. He got an offer for a very well-paying gig Friday & Saturday, and after being so broke this Christmas, it was very hard to say no.
Thus being the case, I need a ride down there!

I’m there–I’ve just been off the board lately pending, well, dealing with that whole Christmas thing.
I promised directions to the Macaroni Grill, so here they are:
From Grand Rapids and west: Take I-94 East to exit 177.
From Lansing: Take I-96 East to US 23 South, then US 23 to I-94 West to exit 177.
From Flint and north, as well as Toledo and south: Take US 23 to I-94 West, to exit 177.
From Detroit and east: Take I-94 West to exit 177.
(Thinksnow, I assume you can get to US 23 in Toledo–if not, please email me and I’ll give you more specific directions).
OK. You’ve all made it to Exit 177. Now, head north (right if you’re coming from the east, left if you’re coming from the west). Turn left on Mall Drive, which is before the next major street. Macaroni Grill is to your right.

Not smoking is not a problem. When I’m in a situation where I know I can’t smoke, my brain turns the cravings off. Kinda weird, but it works.
Since Mr. Persephone will not be going, I’ll be the only one. No kids coming along. They crash too early, and they cramp my style.

Ok, i just found this thread, and I’ve never been to a dopefest before. This looks cool, is a 17 year old newbie welcome? I may or may not be able to make it…depends on the parents…AA is about a 30 min drive for me and i don’t know how happy they will be about letting me go out with a bunch of people I don’t know…but I’ll check up on it.
