Anyone know this song?

It is probably late 60’s or early 70’s. Slow and blues-ey. I think it was in a major chord, probably G.

The only words I can remember for sure were:

“…and I can’t get no connection…
And all I wanna do…
…is get home to you.”

I wish I could remember more of it, but that’s about it.
If anyone knows the title or the singer, I’d appreciate it. Thanks.

Is this what you’re looking for? http://www.arlo.net/lyrics/connection.shtml

I don’t recognize the song, myself, but if Jagger & Richards wrote it, then I assume it’s a Stones song… Yeah, here it is again:

Hope that helps…

I’m pretty sure that’s the song. Thanks!

Yeah… the Stones did it on the “Between The Buttons” album but their version was not slow and bluesy, but rather frenetic.
You’re probably thinking of the cover version by Montrose, sung by Sammy Hagar. It was on their “Paper Money” album.
