Anyone know what the name of this song might be?

I keep hearing this song at work, but I have no idea what it’s called or who sings it. Wrote down some of the lyrics today as I heard it playing, which I figured would result in a two second Google search once I got home. No dice. Seriously, I can’t seem to find anything about this song anywhere.

Here’s the lyrics I wrote:

“Here I am, all these years before me”
“I’d like to meet her again”
“Summer ends, all that lies before me as the fall descends”

Even if I misheard everything, with three different lines you’d think I could find out something about it.

So … anyone have any idea what this song might be?

Sung by a man? Woman? Group? What style of music? Googling just parts of the lines you quoted brings up only this thread.

That happens to me alot too…what i usually do is check the clock when I hear the song ,then go to the radios website and sometimes they have a playlist of what song was played when,then I can whittle it down to the song I was looking for.
