Anyone know what's up with Doctor Who and Netflix?

I’ve been watching and really enjoying the first season of the revamped Doctor Who, which I got through Netflix. I like it so much that I decide to put season 2 into my queue. I notice it’s in my “save” queue, and the release date is unknown. That’s odd, I think, It’s been a while since the broadcast, and they don’t know when it’s coming out? Well, it turns out it’s been available in the U.S. since January! What the hell? Some googling reveals something about a defective disk.

Anyone have any more information, hopefully including a tentative release date?

I bought the US release as soon as it came out, and I didn’t have any problems with a defective disc.

From what I can gather from blogs and Netflix comments, it’s a problem with the rental discs only. I’m not sure if it’s specific to Netflix or what. I’m confused as to what’s going on.

That is the latest articls on Doctor Who on the site. TVshowsonDVD keeps pretty good track so if there was an update I would expect it would be there.

Thanks, N9! That’s a good link and explains why Miller didn’t have any problems with his purchased set. However I note the last article was from January 19th. I wonder how long it’ll take them to fix the problem.
