Anyone lost a sibling?

Oh, man, this is one of the saddest threads I have ever read, and my heart goes out to you all.

I have never lost a sibling, but I know how devastated I’d be if something happened to my brothers.
I lost my dad at a young age, and my mom 13 years ago, and that hurt plenty.

I too think it’s terrible of your school to say no to the armband, but I would certainly wear something purple, sneak on an armband or whatever you like.

Is there any way you could wear a royal purple necktie under your gown, so it would peek out, even an amythest ring, purple bracelet, or cufflinks would work wouldn’t it? Go, graduate and know your loved ones are there in your heart and in spirit. I wish I had a way to express my sympathy more eloquently, but a simple “my codolences, I hope you find peace in time” will have to suffice. You are in my prayers.
