Anyone remember this from M-TV?

I have this vague memory of something I think I used to see on M-TV circa late 80s/early 90s.

IIRC, it would come on during commercial breaks and was just sort of mixed in with the commericals. But, I do not think it was a commercial because I do not recall any product(s) or companies being mentioned.

As I recall, it was animated. A voice over would say something like “Stevie Washington…the angry youth…New York, New York…the turn of the century…ALL CRIME!!!” Then there would be some brief vignette of Stevie Washington (I think that was the character’s name) who I believe was a skateboarder.

Does anyone else remember this? If so, does anyone know what it was…was it really a commercial for something or what?

I remember Stevie. He was filler. Cool filler, but filler nonetheless. There were about four storylines that I remember with Stevie battling various and sundry baddies (I recall specifically a voodoo queen…Mama Waldi?). He had a blonde girlie sidekick whose name escapes me who IIRC fought with a yo-yo. Sort of a distant prototype of the “fashion spies” MTV tried out a couple years back.

I picked up a tape full of old MTV promos at the dollar store a while back. I can’t remember if there’s any Stevie Washington on it. I’ll have to check it out when I get home.

I believe it also appeared on Liquid Television. He was “BORN TO DIE!”

So, it actually was an MTV program (albeit a very short one) and not some mysterious advertising campaign. It seemed like it would sort of get mixed in with the ads so I was not sure what exactly it was supposed to be.
