Anyone seen the sun lately?

it’s actually been pretty sunny here in michigan. too bad I only see it on smoke breaks, stupid 9-5 job. regardless, I’d give up the clear skies in a second to get temps above 12 degrees F.

He’s here 365 days out of 365, including the extra day every leap year.

I wish he would fuck off occasionally, at least in summer (when it’s constantly 45-50c day AND night).

Goddamn sun and global warming! I had to cut my grass yesterday. It’s January and I’m out running the lawn mower. I guess it has an upside since I’m still getting tomatoes off my plants.

You know, I think we have it great in Calgary. Coldish, sunny winters, with chinook breaks every month or so. Some snow, not too much. Mountains less than an hour away. No bugs to speak of in summer. No poisonous anything, no rats, no hurricanes or typhoons or monsoons or earthquakes or volcanoes.

But you can’t all move here, cause the city’s full. pbbbtthbbbthth

It’s absolutely beautiful here in Pennsylvania. The sky is clear, and the temp is an amazing 15F.

I don’t think you guys understand. Many Americans picture winter in Scandinavia as a sort of cosy winter wonderland landscape with sleighs and crisp days.
Think again.
Think ‘Seattle’.

The north might get real winter, but we get 34F, sky overcast with a four month permanent drizzle and strong winds. Sun rises @ 8.30 and sets 4.20 or therabouts. So we get a few hours of dayligt, but it’s impossible to tell which way is south, from the sun. The clouds are thick so it’s a sort of a dark grey onmi-light.

People who complain about too much sun should move here a couple of winters. I guarantee you’ll start to appreciate the sun in a whole different way.

And would you believe our heater is broken.

I am sitting in the computer room wearing a hooded winter coat, long pants and socks.

That sucks.

Suffice it to say, the cold kept us from going to the Farm Show. We’ll try again tomorrow.

That’s alright, I’ll move to Canmore.

Oh, fuck. :smack:

I saw it this morning, It was nice and bright even though it was -2.5°F with a wind chill of -8.8°F

And I’m in Maryland

{channelling Nelson}HA HA!{/channelling}

We had our first official chinook here today after a bout of real cold - water running down the streets, people out in their shorts - sigh. What a beautiful thing.

Just die. When I come visit home next year, you’re on the list.

Oh no! I’m on the list! I’m scaaaaaared!
