I will be visiting an uncle who lives in Knoxville, TN when my dad and a couple brothers are going to be there as well the weekend of Saturday, August 12th.

Hey, that would be awesome. My Wife could visit her sister and I could hang with my fellow dopers. I’m only 4 hours away, so that would work out great.
D’oh! I’m going to be in Knoxville that week, but I only have one day and I need to spend it with my Uncle and his family. He has thyroid cancer, and we’re not sure how much time he has left.

The place doesn’t seem outrageously pricy, has vegetarian dishes available, and it’s relatively close to my uncle’s place. Never been there, but it doesn’t look like it sucks…

Not too pricey, very good food…but tends to be busy…
I didn’t realize we had so many dopers here in K-town!! And Raleigh is approximately 7 hours away…I used to come home for weekends.
Maybe I’ll join y’all…

Well I know that Knoxville is about 4 or 5 hours from Greensboro. I would love to come, but I really do not want to make that trip by myself. Is anyone going from Raliegh or other parts of NC that would consider car pooling ? Just curious . . . .
My hubby is complaining about how much I am spending on gas and stuff driving to these fests. :rolleyes: He just doesn’t think that it’s as much fun as I do, or something!

I was able to straighten out my car issues, so assuming I don’t plow into the back of a Jag like the last time Ii was on I-40 (don’t ask), I get to take my new car out for the first time on the highway and I WILL BE THERE!!
