Anyone wants to load up on Sci Fi books?

I am moving soon. I have a library, probably 1000 or so books, mostly Sci Fi, some fantasy, some horror, that I am not taking with me, because with the proliferation of e-readers etc. I will not be building a library room in the new house.

If anyone in MD area (close enough to 21042 zip) would like to come, browse, and take home some books, PM me. If I “sell” them (considering the prices offered, the word is hardly warranted), they will go for peanuts, unfortunately. There is no market for used books.

Dude, the write off for that many books is significant. I did it two years ago before a move and got about $3500 in write offs.

Just sayin’.

I am not sure about the tax laws, but I think that for that much, you need an actual appraisal.
