Apology, but neither mundane nor pointless

I posted to a thread last week that was saying thank you to the Brits for their show of support. Although I did appreciate the gesture, I colored it with my political beliefs.

I have very very strong opinions about what has happened between the Irish and British people, but that thread was an inappropriate forum to air it.

I did some thinking after viewing this page http://www.speakeasy.org/~jc5810/thankyou/ and realized that I was allowing myself to voice a knee-jerk reaction (and you should know what the operative word there is), when speaking about the British, when I should’ve realized that the people and government of Britain are sincerely, and without reservation, voicing their sympathy, and showing their support.

I wish to offer a sincere apology to anyone that I offended through my careless and thoughtless remarks.

humbly,
Icefalcon

Any political discussion is bound to lead to comparisons. I didn’t lose any sleep over your comments.

I will now authorise the provision of yet more support and sympathy for the US following this handsome apology.
