Apparently, I'm now a real author.

A few months ago I turned in my final draft for my roleplaying adventure. I got back edits a few weeks ago. It will be published in early 2005, and it’s around 144 pages. That’s about 90,000 words (approximately the size of a 360-page paperback novel). The cover artist is awesome. I’m so excited! One of the neater things is that I actually got to decide on the artwork both inside and out. That’s something that novel writers rarely have any say in. Someone on their message board was “intrigued” by the blurb and wanted to know more.

And even cooler is that they asked me to get started on another one! They didn’t even need a synopsis first. I sent them a signed contract and everything.

And, as if that weren’t enough, I even did a couple of smaller projects for another publisher that are already for sale (in PDF form).

Gosh, it’s so cool. Now I just need to get my novels published, become rich and famous, and then become “eccentric.”

Well done!

It’s much harder than people think to fill all those blank sheets of paper (and then get it accepted).

Presumably it’s an adventure designed for roleplayers - but in what system?

Thanks! It’s for the d20 system. It’s a fantasy adventure for D&D.

Congratulations, DeadlyAccurate… you are now a god amongst Dopers.

Well, the geeky ones, anyway.

Congratulations! That is fun news! Enjoy your victory.

If you don’t have an NPC named Cecil Adams (or some fantasy variation) I will be very disappointed.

Congrats!

Ooh, you must tell us the title.
