Apparently my cats would like me to get a new job

As many here know, my cats are somewhat judgemental. I first realized this when, as kittens, they brought me a tube of hand lotion. Apparently my hands did not meet their stringent softness standards for petting.

Now, I opened my own business 4 years ago, so I have had no need to apply for a job. In addition, when I moved, I crammed everything into my desk and deposited it in the room known as “the office” which I never go in because I never got around to buying a light. Therefore, I really have no idea where any of my paperwork is.

Anyway, the other day, I got up, and went downstairs to go to work. On my way down, I noticed a piece of paper on the stairs. I thought that this was odd, and picked it up to discover that it was my resume. If you had asked my to find a copy of my resume, I would probably have said it would be easier to just rewrite it because I have no idea where it is. The cats, however, seem to have been doing some research and have located it and left it for me.

The only explanation I have is that they think that if I make more money, they will get more food.

Your cats remind me strangely of my mother.
