Oh, I see. Sorry about the misinterpretation. You’re quite right about that.
Which is not at all what I said, but hey, spin it any way you like. :wally
Sorry, I was responding more to the general idea and John’s usage than your reiteration of it. I just used your quote as a springboard so I didn’t have to summarize the show once again.
Ah so desuka. Then I retract my snarkism.
Well said. I’m street-taught, and one thing I learned was: INspect what you EXpect.
YES! My roommate and I rewound that moment and rewatched it about 5 times on our Tivo. He gives a dismissive little shake of his head and a quiet, “Nah,” indicating that he doesn’t even have to think about it for a microsecond and he’s surprised anyone has to ask.
That Ashley guy was an idiot for making such a fuss about the “She is what she is…a 22-year old girl” comment. No averarage 22 year old is going to get even close to winning on The Apprentice, it would take an extraordinary 22 year old. Andy was a Harvard grad and a national debating champion and he was eaten alive. For contestants that young, they’ll not only have to be uncommonly smart and creative, but they’ll need to win over the respect of their teammates to avoid being dismissed as “too young” the way Andy frequently was. In fact, I’ll go on record right now saying that no one that young will ever win on The Apprentice because Trump has made it abundantly clear that three things that he values in employees are a college education, a spotless image and work experience. A 22 year old may graduate from an Ivy League school and handle himself like someone twenty years older, but the work experience that The Donald likes to see just isn’t possible at that age.
I’m curious to see if Trump gets off his bias against those without a college degree. I first thought it was unfair to have a whole team of them after Trump fired Troy basically for not having a degree, but I really think John is the one to beat this season.
I don’t think John will win. I have a hunch, first of all, that a woman will win. Just a hunch though. Secondly, I think John’s smug attitude will do him in one of these times.
I wouldn’t characterize it that way. Andy last a fairly long time. Wasn’t he #6?
lasted…
