I have foreseen how this game is going to play out and the few guns I had at my starting position are not going to cut it. So I’m going to stop playing this game and play a new one.
Let’s call my new game Blackmail.
Here’s how it works. You will each give me two resources. One must be a coin the other may be your choice of a coin or a rule I haven’t seen.
I recognize that most of you will have resources tied up in your auction bids so you will have until one hour after chrisk’s auction results post. If I do not have five players making appropriate open offers to exchange those resources for free to me by that point then I’m throwing all of my resources to another player. I honestly don’t know which one at the moment, I’m leaning toward the player that wins the auction since that would be the maximum spoilage but we all know who that will be and I don’t want to get them riled up and hurt themselves by overbidding. Either way I’m taking the majority of the players out of the running with me.
Two resources: one coin and if it’s ownership of rule it has to be one I haven’t seen.
You have until one hour after chrisk’s auction post.
And before anyone asks, because when you’re 90% out of it before you even start playing you’ve got to go for the long shot.
ETA to make this easier for you:

This is clearly not a new game. It is a tactic in the existing game.
These offers are not valid offers in and of themselves, as you are not putting forward any consideration. However, any player who chooses to may pay your blackmail price by making you an offer of a coin and the ownership of a rule that you haven’t seen, without asking for any consideration in return. You will then need simply to accept the offer to collect your fee.
You may also follow through with your threat if you desire, by selecting your ‘spoiler’ and offering all of your resources to that person, who may choose to accept the offer or reject it. (I don’t see any practical reasons that the person will reject, but they might have personal reasons for not wanting ill-gotten gains.)
I look forward to seeing how this plays out.
By the way, ‘ill-gotten gains’ should not be construed as an opinion on the part of the Hagglemaster that there would be anything wrong with accepting such an offer. Just that some of the players might well consider this to be the case as a personal choice.
I also wonder exactly what motivated you to pick 5 payoffs as your threshold, Just Some Guy, as there are technically 8 active players in the game at this moment, exclusing Justin Credible. Discounting yourself, it seems that 2 people can bug out on the blackmail and not face consequences. Was that just how much extra resources you thought you needed to become competitive again?
Don’t be more foolish than you can help, Meeko. There’s no rules 18 or 20, and I don’t even have a trading licence! It’d be conflict of interest hearings up the whazoo, and allegations of insider information, and it makes me tired to even think about that
