April Fools Day 2022

Here we are again - the one day a year when people are skeptical of things they read online.

“In an age where telehealth visits have become increasingly popular, with patients appreciating the convenience and safety of visiting virtually with providers from the comfort of their own home, receiving healthcare through a videogame is a logical next step.”

Today’s *The Price Is Right * had lots of "accidents " and oddities. They didn’t mention the date until the very end. Since they record far in advance, the models and crew probably had no idea as to what was going on.

SCS Software announced Euro Truck Simulator 2 for the ZX Spectrum.

OK, my favorites from this year are
Emireats-delivering your favorite food from anywhere in the world
and Aldi’s new online dating service Findr-swipe right on products you like and it will match you to people who like the same foods.

Well the rehab kitchen had an explosion.
For a half a second I thought joke.
Then I said “no, this couldn’t be a joke”
And I was right. A pressure cooker blew up down there.
It’s amazing no one was injured.

I actually got tricked by one because I saw after midnight but before sunrise, and thus didn’t realize the date. Stack Overflow added comical filters to its site, allowing you to make the site look like Facebook, Windows 3.1, a bad 3D stereograph image (think red and blue), Lisa Frank, and so on. I was about to block the button to make it go away before I noticed that the title of the image was April fools.

After I slept, I found the following on YouTube:

The local food delivery app announced the following:

We are pleased to announce that as of today, pineapple on pizza will be removed from all Uber Eats menus.

And we got snow. Mother Nature has a sense of humor.

That one is great, you can tell he’s been working on puns and double entendres all year.

I’ll admit I was confused Friday night when Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel traded shows for the evening.
