April is more wintry than February.

We’re expected to have 6+" of snow between tonight and Sunday. That’s more than we had all winter. WTF???

I agree, we’ve had snow all week. Another couple of inches last night!

I’m hating it, I’m so ready for spring. Couple of weeks back we had some lovely sunny spring like days.

But it as just a tease, apparently!

I spent last Saturday cutting grass and doing other yard work, wearing a TShirt. Sunday morning the yard was covered in snow and the daffodils looked near death.

One of my local TV weathermen loves to repeat some old saying that if you don’t get winter in winter, you get winter in spring. He’s probably said it about 30 times this week.

Silly me - about a month ago, we went a couple of weeks without freezing temps, so I figured it was safe to move my banana trees outside.

I now have ugly, possibly dead banana trees. Stoopit weather.

West Michigan: We had several warm sunny days in the high 60s in late March. So I went out and got all of the material for my spring yard projects. Now they sit sadly in the garage, while I sit sadly in the house. It’s been freezing, snowing, sleeting, hailing all week. I don’t think we’re going to have nice weather again until next Friday. :frowning:

I think it’s supposed to snow at today’s home opener for the Tigers.

It’s snowing for the second day in a row here in Chicago. At least it’s not accumulating.

Really smart of the MLB to schedule the Indians’ first 6 games in Cleveland and Chicago. Opening Day - the only day when people actually show up to watch baseball in Cleveland - was cancelled.

At least I don’t feel so bad about putting off mowing my lawn on the last few super warm days. The height of the grass is probably saving it from this snow. 'n stuff.

Update: we’ve accumulated about an inch. This April sucks!

April is the cruelist month. We woke up Thursday with a few inches of snow. Then it warmed a little and rained. The snow is nearly gone. There is still old snow on my lawn, where the town blew it from the street. Its surface is black.

It was 90 degrees here in Sacramento last week.

Today’s the 60s and rain.

Similar to what we’ve had in SoCal. On the plus side, my tomato plants are thriving - I swear they’ve doubled in size overnight.

We have about 7" of new snow, with a “mix” scheduled for the next 24 hours. The snow-plow guy, who’s only been here twice since November, hasn’t shown up. Guess he’s at home, counting the 300 bucks we paid him for the season, and not answering his phone. Guess who won’t be getting our business next year.

Growing up in Wisconsin, every April had at least one 6-inch snow overnight. But otherwise April was pretty nice, compared to the -30s on February mornings. No such thing as a snow day in those days, you still walked to school.

It snowed Friday night and by Saturday morning there was an inch or so of snow everywhere, but it had all melted by afternoon. I’m surprised it went so fast, in the morning it looked like December and by the afternoon it looked like April again. I wonder how this will affect farm crops.

Yes indeed. What I have been able to reason out on the basis of checking multiple resources both online and offline is that f this s.

Yeah and this crazy weather is hurting the farmers too. I still have to wear a winter hat and gloves when I go out early in the morning ! Cape Cod might get some snow today , I am not jealous !
