WTF? WTF? WTF? Blizzard in April?!?!

I am looking outside my window at work and all I see is near whiteout blizzard conditions. In fuking APRIL! It’s SPRING god damn it! April showers bring May flowers! The best I can hope for is April blizzard brings May Eddie Izzard.

Fuck Fuck Fuck.

I even put the show shovel and the salt away.

Good thing I haven’t planted anything outside.

To live in Iowa, and suffer a blizzard as well? Our hearts go out to you.

No kidding. That’s like misery on top of agony.

45 degrees Celsius – that’s 113 degrees Fahrenheit – here every day right now, with high humidity. The only thing I can think of that would be worse than that is snow. Brrrrrr.

Hearts nothin’, send emergency supplies… like a real New York pizzaria pizza… and I’m sure Philly cheese steaks would be much appreciated.

So, what’s the over-under on someone citing this as evidence that there’s no such thing as Global Warming?

This is evidence that there is no such thing as Global Warming.

There, happy?

You know, all this climate change stuff makes me happy I live where I live; we’re getting shitty weather too, but at least we’re used to it. We don’t plant until the end of May here (the Victoria Day long weekend - May 21 this year). I have been to many a May Long Weekend barbecue that we froze our butts off in cold rain, sleet, and snow.

We got clear blue skies in March and April ? WTF ?
I’ve had the windows open for the last three days and sitting around in my underwear.

What happened to April Showers ?

Dammit! Didn’t even have time to call my bookie!

Sorry - give me a head’s up next time, and we’ll see what we can work out.

We went from 85 degree days here to 18 degree nights within about 3 or 4 days, which seems to have killed two new trees we planted. :frowning:

And here I was thinking it was going to be this story about Blizzard.

If it’s any consolation, it was 80 degrees here yesterday with a nonstop 20+ MPH east wind.

Heeeeey. Are you two trying to fix the odds? :dubious:
On second thought, it seems unlikely. People around here are way too odd to be fixed.

No kidding, April is always good for a flurry or two, but this is freaking ridiculous. Banks and business are closing all over the place.

We’re expecting up to a foot tonight. I like snow.

Thanks for making me feel better about the weather, I’d choose the snow and -45 Celsius over that heat/humidity.

Hey this ain’t anything special! http://www.crh.noaa.gov/mkx/wiwx.php

It’s just really windy, chilly, damp and miserable here in SW Missouri. We should be in the 70’s this time of year. We had a few flurries over the weekend, but none stuck on the ground. What a freaky spring, eh?

I grew up in the Milwaukee WI area, and I remember a notably huge blizzard ocurring around the second week of April, 1973. Anyone else remember that storm?

This on top of the freaking frost we had in the middle of August (AUGUST!!) last summer that killed all my plants…

Please either give us a spring or a summer! 9 months of winter and 3 months of sweltering muggy heat are not conducive to tomato gardening!

P.S. Aside from the crappy weather, I quite enjoy living in the midwest. And BTW, fluiddruid, if I feel like a proper slice of pizza, I can always visit my friends in Chicago. :stuck_out_tongue:

Nobody better try to fix me. First one of youz I see with a scalpel, my friend Bobby B puts a hollow-point in the brainpan (and the dryer behind you).
