Probably only of interest to people who went to Cornell, but the Cornell Daily Sun completely hooked me with an article about incoming president David Skorton resigning due to differences with the Bd. of Trustees. Skorton got the job because his predecessor, Jeff Lehman, “quit” (probably got the ax) after only two years in office.
In an effort to diversify the demographics of its users, Slashdot has adopted a pink “OMG!!! Ponies!!!” theme for their front page. And of course, most of today’s stories are bogus - Microsoft buys OpenOffice, Duke Nukem Forever reviewed, etc

On my site, yesterday I eliminated a very popular off-topic subforum from the tally of users’ post counts. People who had 5,000 or 6,000 posts woke up to find they had a count of only a few hundred posts. (I did it yesterday, because usage drops quite a bit over the weekend.)
