Dr. Weird says something like, “No, this makes me crazy!” before pulling his brain out. Damn, that was odd.
I recall Frylock saying things like “Well, we don’t do much detective work anymore” so I assume it just kind of got phased out.
This scene’s one of my favorites-
Meatwad: “I am an adult and I deserve an adult glass!” *knocks over glass as he reaches for it *
The characters started out in a slightly different form on Space Ghost Coast to Coast, where it was revealed that they were the characters in the “Happy Meal” of some kind of fast food joint (Meatwad being the leftover meat from various patties). Haven’t seen that episode in ages (it’s so old that Frylock has legs), but it’s probably available on the DVD collection of SGCtC that’s out now.
Oh, so you’re an expert? Let’s see how expert your ass is at flying! ::Cliff toss::
I just saw that one in the last couple of days. When Steve asks the doctor if he wants a hoagie, the doctor states that his hand is being consumed by his rectum. It then consumes the rest of the doctor, with the rectum then dropping to the floor.
And no one’s noticed the picture of a younger doc with Frylock hanging on Frylock’s bedroom wall? I think the Aqua Teens were eearlier experiments of the doctor that either escaped or were released into society.
If I remember correctly, the guys who do the voices to the Mooninites did the original voices to ATHF in
Space Ghost Coast to Coast
Yeah, the creators of the show have said as much. However they’ve also said from the very begining they set out to create a show that was the most ridiculous premise imaginable. So don’t expect much (or any) continuity. Hell, Carl dies or is horribly disfigured in half the episodes!
And I still wanna know what the hell Shake is saying over the ending credits:
“Can’t something something…”
Actually, it’s “Dancing is forbidden.”
“Now, Carl, your feet are kinda made of eyeballs right now, but if we can craft some synthetic lids…”
I’ve never counted, but it seems like at least one of them (usually Carl or Shake, Meatwad once) dies in about half the episodes.
From the credits I get the impression the ATHF travelled to the 1800s and were launched to the moon. Then they were discovered by an astronaut.
Were they on the moon for over 100 years?
The people want to know…
Here’s an interview with the creators. I know I read another interview where they explained the idea behind the Abe Lincoln rocketship ending, but I’m not sure where it was.
Most likely, they had pretty long hair when the astronaut found them.
They said in another episode that they didn’t eat so i guess it wouldn’t matter any.
The credits also had ancient hieroglyphics showing them, so they’re thousands of years old.
I noticed that picture. It gave me the impression that, before he went insane, Dr Weird and Frylock were colleagues; maybe even research partners. But your theory could be correct also.
Or they were just visiting…
(I find Dr Doom makes the best time platforms, btw)
… which is a quote from the first episode, “Rabbot”, when Meatwad asks why no one else is dancing to the song on his jambox.
The TV is also destroyed in most episodes. I think they’ve made jokes about that on the show.
When I first read that I thought, no way. But I’ve just been hearing it as can’t some’um some’um for too long. I went home and listened to it and sure enough, that’s what he’s saying!
That’s been bugging me for almost 3 years now! :smack:
Frylock has braces. I don’t know why, his teeth look pretty nice. The huge jewel on his back gives him his powers (he’s the only one who actually has any to speak of). I like how neither of these characteristics are visible 99.9% of the time.
On the DVD commentary, one of the writers[?] mentions that originally the three were going to fight off a creature spawned by Dr. Weird in every episode, and that Shake’s catch phrase was going to be “[Insert thing here] is FORBIDDEN!” Funny how the show has evolved.
Heck, they made a whole episode about it. Turns out, Frylock had been cloning new TVs for them everytime one got destroyed.
Wonder if he’s been doing the same for Shake and Carl?
I thought it was Shake who kept misusing Frylock’s cloning machine by making tv after tv? Either way, that was one of my favorite episodes
