Aqua Teen Hunger Force

I don’t understand ATHF. I never understood it, and I never thought it was funny. What’s the appeal?

i love it when they try to push the boundries of decency…which it seems that they are trying to do more and more every week.

Last nights ATHF had the old

I AM SOFA KING WE TODD ED

and they kept saying it faster and faster, and i thought that was pretty good
just riding the line.

Mooninites!

“No one can defeat the quad laser. Jumping is useless.”

Anybody else remember the same joke in The Celery Stalks at Midnight?

I liked that a lot. I wish it could’ve gone on longer, but I guess that’s the problem with a 12-minute show.

I’ve found that it’s a certain kind of humor some people just don’t like. It’s just plain zany and silly. The jokes aren’t so much about punchlines, just general nutiness. Like most shaggy dog humor, it’s about things just not working, failing pathetically or ridiculously to work or even make much sense.

You also just have to find Meatwad, well, cute.

You’d think about that, if you had the brains.

This pornography is infinitly excellent! Come, let us sodomize our brains with it.

I love ATHF! I’ve only seen one episode of Harvey Birdman, and I like Sealab too, but so far ATHF is still the winner in my book.

IMO “Unremarkable Voyage” had a lot of room for improvement, though. It had a handful of good lines, but Meatwad’s voice was off, Meatwad and Shake got along way too well, and some of the animation was so sloppy it was distracting (see the spear fight in the diorama).

“They’re mooning us.” “Impossible. We are the Mooninites!”

“Hell no, I ain’t no bi-curious. I’m a man’s man!”

I got Master Shake in the quiz!

There isn’t enough room to list all the things I love about this show. Shake’s maliciousness is among the high points.

The commentary on the DVD is pretty great, too (if you count taking up half the commentary with a guy strumming a guitar and singing “Aqua Teens…Aqua Teens” as great, which I do).

I think it was more like this:

**This pornography is infinitly excellent! Come, let us sodomize our vast imaginations.

That was VERY odd. Was that really Zakk Wylde?

Another fan reporting in. I only started watching this show recently, but so far I haven’t seen a bad episode.

As I understand it, didn’t they use to have stories about being super-heroes? When did they drop those?

They’re supposed to be detectives, but I think the first episode (“Rabbot”) is the only one where they actually try to solve a mystery. It’s also the source of “Dancing is forbidden!”

I watch a lot of Adult Swim. Waay too much. Every night, especially Sunday. The new baby likes the colors, I suppose. I adore ATHF and Birdman, SeaLab is usually OK (but sometimes a little over the top, even for me) and Space Goast and Brak are at the lower end of the spectrum (but still good).

I got Dr. Weird in the quiz, which is perfect. Combine that with a Krusty the Clown in a “Which Minor Simpsons Character Are You?” and that pretty much accurately describes all aspects of my personality.

The Mooninites rock my world. “When I call your name, say here, which we will understand to be short for 'Here I am, rock me like a hurricane.” “Plutonians are teh suck.”

My favorite line, though, is from the frat alien show (even though they are my least favorite characters):
“What else is open? Besides your mouth, when you’re like kissing on some gay dude, and like, holding his muscles, because they’re like, wrapped around you, and you feel like, so safe, not because you’re like gay or anything, but God, you just want to like, bury yourself in his chest, and just…live there forever.”

Holy crap that makes me laugh.

Okay, last night’s episode with the wisdom cubes wasn’t bad but it definitely was a notch down from the show’s usual excellence. The car episode was funny though.

Yeah, the car one was very good. And Frylock answered eveybody’s question when he said “We’re not detectives anymore, it wasn’t exactly making us a lot of money.”

This is my favortie ep. as well. I find the show very funny as well.

I liked the wisdom cube, if only because the wisdom cube just keep spouting off bumper sticker phrases.

And the mooninites are the best.

“You are you’re pitiful three dimensions. We have five.”
“…thousand.”
“Yes, five-thousand.”
“Don’t question it!”

Gentlemen! Am I not invisible!?

Unleash the phone spiders!

Another fan. I didn’t like it at first, but now I became addicted. Although, to be honest, it is kind of hit or miss for me. My favorite episode, which has been mentioned somewhat already, is the second Mooninite episode where they get the Foreigner belt. I recorded some recently for a coworker to show him what the show’s like. I have the newest one, replayed on Sunday, and the two from Monday and the two from yesterday. They’re all right, but compared to some of the others, I don’t think that they’re that great.
I think my top three are
1)Revenge of the Mooninites. Some favorite lines:
Meatwad-“Shoot, that sure is a nice car she’s watching there. Do you think that’s a straight six?”
Err-“I think I have a straight six”
Inignot- Ooooo. Err, your sexual innuendo is priceless.

Meatwad: If I torch the dresser, Carl won’t have any clothes.
Ignignoct: These girls don’t have any clothes, and they’re happy.
Err: Yeah, they’re kissing!
Ignignoct: And you want Carl to be ‘forever kissed,’ don’t you?

“Getting it [a 10 speed] is easy… filling it with illegal substances and sending it across the border is not.”
–Ignignoct

2)Ol’ Drippy
Ol’ Drippy: Idle hands spend time at the genitals, and you know how much God hates that.

Ol’ Drippy: Close your eyes, Meatwad:
Shake: Leave your eyes open, Meatwad. I want to horrify you into a coma.

3)The Broodwitch
I can’t exactly remember the quotes I want to post, and there aren’t any web sites I can cut and paste from, but it is hillarious.

Oh, and hey, what are the words being repeated during the closing credits?
