Arby's sliders - dang they're good!

It was late, I was hungry, hadn’t been to Arby’s in a decade or more. Up ahead in the distance I saw a shimmering lighted cowboy hat. It was then I remembered that they have the meats. The damn commercial worked on me.

I had a roast beef, a Jalapeno roast beef, and a ham slider. Beautiful fluffy bun. Generous portion of tasty meat. Each was extremely tasty. What a pleasant surprise.

Are you with me or agin me?
mmm

I get a craving for Arby’s a few times a year. I get their classic roast beef sandwich. Their potato cakes never disappoint.

My mom gets their Smokehouse Brisket a couple times a month. It’s a pretty good barbecue sandwich. I have to remove the onions before I can eat it.

Arby’s is always a dependable choice when I’m traveling. Haven’t been there in a while, time to try out the sliders. (Don’t care for the commercials, BTW)

So you’re saying that while Arby’s has the meats, their ad agency hasn’t got the chops?

:flees:

Their potato cakes are quite good.

Just an FYI that in honor of the eclipse, Arby’s regular roast beef sandwiches are $1.19 tomorrow.

I don’t know if they still have them, but the pizza sliders were really good and ONE was enough for me.

Just my luck, the nearest one is over a hour jump away…

Is this legit? Because I haven’t been able to find anything to corroborate this; if it is, Arby’s doesn’t appear to want people to know about it.

Maybe one of those “only in certain markets” deals?

It’s only for 2 minutes at any one location.

I mean… the closest Arby’s to me isn’t over an hour away like @The Vorlon, but it isn’t exactly across the street, either; I’d hate to make the trip, and then find out that this is just something they’re doing in, like, NY and LA, or whatever.

For some reason, the two Arby’s closest to me - one about 10 minutes from where I live; the other in the fast food row near where I work - both closed. (The work one was replaced by an attempt from a nearby deli to sell Arby’s-style sandwiches, but with deli roast beef; it did not stay open long, and the building has been empty for months.) The nearest ones to where I live are either 40 miles away or on the other side of a $5 toll bridge.

So, I broke down and went to the nearest Arby’s, only to learn that they weren’t doing it: apparently, the offer is only good in locations that were in the path of totality of the eclipse, or whatever. The manager did print me out a “helpful” list of locations from an email he got from corporate, listing all the cities where they were doing it, none of which are in my state. The nearest city to where I live that I could get this deal is roughly four hours away.

I just got Arby’s a few days ago for the first time in at least a decade. Never been a fan of their roast beef, but the Italian sub was pretty good, and their curly fries are still great.

Potato cakes fresh from the oil, smeared with horsey sauce are the best fast food side beyond question.

It is in my area (Seattle), I got an email for it. I didn’t realize it was only in certain areas! I wouldn’t have posted about it or at least added a disclaimer. My apologies.

Yep, Seattle happens to be on the list that the manager at the local Arby’s printed out for me… Not all that useful to me, here in not-Seattle.

Arby’s missed out on a good PR opportunity. They should have run a full nation wide eclipse promotion.

Event promotions get new customers in the door. Some may become repeat customers if they enjoy their first visit.

Little Rock has lost at least two Arby’s that I know about. The one nearest to me was built in the early 70’s and needs renovations.

Without fries, Arby’s food is as dust in my mouth. The boycott continues no matter how tasty the sliders are.

I guess I assumed everyone lives a cowpie toss away from an Arby’s. I have probably 3-4 within a 10 minute drive of home.
mmm

The sliders are pretty good.

I like that Arby’s actually has a variety of side items to choose from rather than just fries (McDonald’s) or just fries and onion rings (Burger King).
