*Archer *isn’t like South Park, they can’t make episodes in three days! Or did they just plan on it being Pope Benedict until the last minute? Still, Pope Francis resembles Woodhouse a lot more! Or did they just not care at all being that they mix up so much old & new in the show anyway?
As for Woodhouse’s voice, maybe George Coe just wasn’t available for some reason (and it sounded like they just used H. Jon Benjamin’s pitch-shifted voice for Woodhouse here). Also, I didn’t realize George Coe was that guy from the first few episodes of SNL way back in '75. Technically he was an official Not Ready for Prime Time Player! (for three episodes anyway).
Woodhouse looks close enough to Benedict or Francis make it work well enough, obviously Benedict was the Pope they were thinking of (not that Archer takes place in “our” Universe (it’s an AWESOMER one, instead) as we’ve discussed before.)

I guess. Woodhouse looks more haggard like Benedict, but his hair and head shape more match Francis (I think). Boy I have too much free time…
I think we can assume this is the reason several mid-season episodes were shown out of order.
Well, I now have my new nickname for Pope [del]Francis[/del] Woodhouse.

I really liked this episode. Although it was obviously setting itself up, it was still very entertaining. For a while I thought that it was just going to be a retread to last years finale.
Random thoughts:
It took me a bit to figure out who was voicing Cecil and his girlfriend. I spent a good five minutes thinking, “Why do I know that voice?”
I didn’t figure out Cheryl/Carol’s joke until it was mentioned online.
I really hope next season they pair up Cyrril/Ray more often. I like those two together.

I love how Sterling is Rain Man-esque in his ability to convert units of measurement.
I also love Cheryl dealing with diegetic/non-diegetic music.

So, Archer and Sealab 2021 take place in the same universe.

I didn’t like this episode.

Why not?
I thought it was okay but I didn’t laugh much. Most of good stuff was in the initial office scene. Not all (“You look fierce! Hiss!”) but most of it.
I disagree–I thought this was another in the string of solid episodes we’ve been getting for the last few weeks. Nice Krieger cameo, too.

I liked Archer’s “long story” about why he carries a switchblade.
