I’m hoping it holds off until I’ve gotten to the laundromat and back. I really enjoyed last week’s snow, but I was playing and snow-fort-building. Tomorrow I’m working in the morning, which means slogging to work and then shoveling. It’s supposed to snow all week, according to the radio.
Am I in a freak no-snow zone or something? I just checked the local forecast and they’re predicting 2 to 4 inches, which means we’ll probably get an inch tops.
It’s still only Feb! People are complaining about being tired of winter now? We’re still in the heart of winter, we’ve got a solid month or two before you can even consider talking about being tired of this long winter. Ski season is finally picking up, I plan on skiing well into April, than I’ll try to hit some backcountry stashes in May if the snow holds out.
Everyone in the building across the street has left. My boss just hightailed it out, and everyone who lives to the west of the office is packing up now. I figure I’ll stay till 5:30, it’s not even really sticking to the road yet. I was really hoping for a snow day tomorrow, but it’s occurred to me that if I don’t come in and do my job, somebody with no idea what they’re doing is going to have to cover for me. sigh
It’s snowing to beat the band here. I’m not sure how much we’ve gotten, but it’s at least three inches, maybe more.
Aaron and I went to the grocery store to get more milk and some chicken and stuff. We’ve got plenty of eggs and toilet paper, so we’ll be OK there until Wednesday.
I’m so sick of snow. We’re only supoosed to get a foot, but the radio people are flipping out over it. I’m just annoyed I’m gonna have to scrape my car in the morning.
And Dave, hon, you work way too hard. Take a vacation
6 plus by the time it got dark here. However, Mr. Antique snowblower is able to deal with the nasty whiteness in the driveway-the kitties will make noise until I clean off their porch and bowl (and refill it). After that, I’d like a virgin and a volcano (will settle for someone who hasn’t slept around too much and a warm mid-sized hole) to make winter go A-way.
Well, Here in North Central MA, it’s bright and sunny and warm. Yes, even at midnight. After driving home for the kadjillionth time in white out conditions, I’m joining Idlewild* and Lily on De Banks o’ DeNile.
[requisite sub-tropical drop in]
Today was mostly sunny, with a little rain, high around 74, overnight low settling to around 55. Tomorrow’s high will be 65, expected to be mostly clear and breezy with no chance of rain going down to 49 overnight Tuesday. Gotta bust out the jackets, cause anything under 70 and we all freeze.

We got sleet overnight. Work is on 2 hour delay with liberal leave in effect. I’m thinking I’ll take advantage of the liberal leave and do my taxes. And vacuum. And dust. And clean the kitchen floor. Yeah, a day off…
Yes, I’m sick of winter. It’s my prerogative. I picked winter as my season to kvetch endlessly about, in return for which I try to be upbeat and pleasant about summer even when everyone else is moaning about the humidity. I figure that’s a fair deal seeing as just about everyone else round where I work complains no matter what the season is
School’s are closed here, only about 5 inches fell but we got the glorious freezing rain first so there’s a solid sheet of ice under all the pretty fluffy white stuff.
I’m recovering from shoulder surgery and today’s my first therapy appointment. Seems like I oughta be able to skip it and get all my exercise shoveling, no?
Nothing’s more disappointing than having a major test and a much-anticipated snowstorm on the same day, and then finding out…it’s only 4 inches. Jeez. I wanted freezing rain! Roiling fog! Blowing snow! Zero visibility! -50 with the windchill!
