I’d like to respectfully suggest a rule applicable to moderators. If a moderator acts in an official capacity in a particular thread (issuing warnings or moving the thread), it automatically precludes the moderator from posting henceforth as an ordinary poster in that thread.
One enters a boxing ring either as a boxer or a referee. One cannot be both.

Of the tall skinny guys I’ve known, most of them have been goths, which means it may not be fair for me to stereotype them.
One of the most persistently assholish guys I have ever known is very tall and thin. Another tall, thin fellow with broad shoulders appears to have slid down the slide from mellow and calm to calmly snarky and bitter.
I have a long-time-ago friend who was also quite tall and thin. He sort of straddles the line of “asshole” and “sweetheart”. His legs are long, so even though it’s not a thin line, he manages it.
The most legendary assholes among us, though, are short and stocky.

As far as the OP goes, I’ve never noticed jerkishness correlating with body type.
The biggest asshole I’ve ever met was about 5’2", small to average build, and looked like Waldo (as in Where’s). He had a Napoleon complex from hell, and a tiny little temper to match his tiny little body. He thought himself to be the nicest, smartest, most generous fellow around, in between racist tirades and dog-kicking, of course. If he were here, I’m sure he’d be on the OP’s side.

While I know the OP has backed off, I’ve talked in great detail to one particular tall skinny surly socially impaired man (my husband) and he’s pointed out that he gained his adult height (6’4") somewhere in middle school, which didn’t endear him to the other kids much. He spent most of junior high and high school mouthing off in an attempt to win friends and getting beat up when it didn’t work. Not really good ways to learn social skills, IMHO. There’s a chip on that tall shoulder because kids did treat him like shit for being a beanpole.
It’s falling off, though. I wouldn’t be surprised if younger tall men skew jerkish, and as they later become more confident and less attacked, they mellow out. Based on a sample size of about 3, of course. And I don’t think that’s any different from any other kid who was picked on a lot, whether it was because he was too tall or too short or too fat or too skinny.

Moving this thread was a no-brainer. A thread asking whether a group of people with a certain appearance (tall and skinny, short and fat, black, white, whatever) are likely to have certain negative personality traits belongs nowhere but the Pit. Leaving it in IMHO would just unfairly prevent tall, skinny guys insulted by your OP from responding freely without getting warned.
And there’s no way we’d close a thread simply because you didn’t want to face the responses. Apologizing is very nice, but if you’re really contrite you’ll think through how a thread will come across before you hit the “Submit Thread” button next time.
