First, I already know that nearly all girls are bi/bicurious/lesbian(90%) and that the vast majority of girls are experimental and get with girls all the time. But, this is for the very few girls who are actually straight. Are these girls usually unattractive? Everyone talks about how bi girls and lesbians are hot and guys always talk about them. The media portrays bi girls and lesbians as sexy too. But straight girls are never talked about or noticed, although they aren’t many to talk about. Is this because they’re the ones who are fat, ugly, or nerdy looking girls? Are straight girls straight just because they aren’t good looking enough to get a girl?
I think some of your assumptions are flawed. Also, probably not really a GQ. Reported for forum change.
All the lesbians I know are pretty much fat and ugly.
Where should this go?
I wouldn’t say that. I think all of his assumptions are flawed.
Care to ezplain?
I doubt that you do know that, as I’m pretty confident it’s not so. What, pray tell, are your sources for believing this?
Everyone? :dubious: What guys? I gather that some men enjoy “lesbian” porn, which isn’t really lesbians but rather women playing the role of someone’s idea of lesbians. And I’ve seen some sitcom references that act as if this is common. But that’s just Hollywood writers playing an angle. Do you have any evidence that doesn’t derive from TV fiction?
Wow. This is just so ridiculous, I almost hate to respond, but…
There are plenty of straight women who are seriously attractive. Your intimation that some women are stuck with male partners because of how they look, while interesting in comparison to the more familiar “women become lesbians because they can’t attract a man,” is not only misinformed, it’s insulting and hurtful. Please don’t spread this crap, rather continue to seek the facts.
You do know that pornography is not an accurate picture of the sexual spectrum right?
Can you please amuse us and tell us how you came by this information.
Again cite. I guess if vast majority = small percentage in your world this makes sense.
by a few girls you mean most women?
Most guys I know tend to find women who would have sex with them a bit more appealiing and straight girls tend to fall into that category.
I never talk about these things
The media also presents reality tv as reality. I don’t think you should trust them.
My head hurts.
Is stupid contagious?
Has the OP ever seen any real lesbians, or just the girls who play them in porn movies?
I’m surrounded by them, and they are usually attractive or fat. Bi girls do not seem to ever be ugly. Straight girls…I don’t know any I think. Do you?
My mind’s blown. I thought I knew some straight “girls,” but were they just passing? You saying you don’t know any self-identified straight chicks?
Like 2 I think, and they aren’t attractive. They’re the ones who talked to no one.
Terrible example. Angelina Jolie is bisexual. She said it herself. Megan Fox is bicurious as well. You picked the worst lesbian example.
When was that survey taken? I doubt it’s within the past few years or those numbers would be reversed.
Will not have sex with you does not equal not straight.
My sources are real life. Who talks about bi girls…college guys. My reasoning is based on experience.
No…that’s not my reasoning. They aren’t. Straight since they all like girls somehow whether it’s arousal, attraction, fantasizing, sex, or d acting. Nothing to do with me.
"d acting [sic]? douche-acting? Dp-acting? Why don’t you open a thread asking others to analyze you (hint, you’d be the analysand)? What is your question, why is it in GQ, and where in the inbred Ozarks do you live where nice-looking chicks after dicks don’t exist?
Are you looking for advice on how to talk to womyn? Pro tip: ball gag after getting to know you chat. Serious, what’s the prob?
Ah, dear Fred, welcome to the Straight Dope, note that we deal in facts, and please understand that just saying “real life” won’t do. Silophant, beowulff, boytyperanma, Tamex, and I are all gently suggesting that OUR experience of real life – which I suspect is several times longer than yours for each of us – is quite different from what you maintain is yours. Jenaroph is kindly providing a cite from a well-known research institute. So while it’s possible (though I suspect quite unlikely) that 90% of the women you know are not straight, making statements like “I…know that nearly all girls are bi/bicurious/lesbian(90%)…,” [underlining mine] when in fact you do NOT KNOW this, and in fact it’s nowhere remotely close to true for ALL women, does not fly here. We want to see respectable cites for your contentions. Otherwise, please forgive us as we call “bullshit” on what you’re saying.
2005, which can be plainly seen in the part quoted.
Reversed? REVERSED?? You gotta be kidding me. You’ve got a lot to learn, friend. College boys spouting horsecrap about things sexual is not where to learn it from. I also think you’re using a much too broad definition of non-straight here.
