Are there any Cowboys fans on the SDMB?

I am a cowboys fan, but I find myself looking forward to Saturdays instead of Sundays now. I can’t wait until Texas sends Oklahoma limping back across the Red River this Saturday.

Bah.

OU and OSU kicked some serious ass this past weekened. Of course, Texas can whoop up on OU all they want. I didn’t make a bet with my Texn brother this year.

Like they did last year? Yeah right.

I’m a Cowboys fan… and a Sooners fan. Went to school at Oklahoma State, so I’m a Cowboys fan again.

E3

I married one, does that count? I swear, I had no idea what I was up against. Our first Thanksgiving, when he actually moved the table so we could eat and watch the game, I nearly died. I always make it a point to invite people over now, international students and people without nearby families. He’s too polite to actually leave them and watch, but he does all the cooking and listens to the radio. It’s a compromise, of sorts.

My father (OSU grad, by the way, so he understands the “Cowboy” mystique) is named Emmett. It took my husband years to stop writing it Emmitt. I don’t think he even realized what he was doing. It amused my dad to no end.

The Cowboys are, of course, evil.

Even when they suck like they do this year, they’re still evil.

And even though they’re as awful as they are, my Redskins are even worse. I’ll bet even money that the Cowboys beat the 'Skins twice.

Why just suck, when you can be the ultimate in suckosity? We suck worse than you; we suck worse than everybody!!

Cowboys Fan Here!

Sure, they suck this year, but they’re still the GREATEST FOOTBALL TEAM EVER and will be back on top soon!

…um…as soon as we get rid of that bastard, Jerry Jones, that is… easily the worst football team owner ever.

I see two wins versus the 'Skins, and two against the Cardinals; those may be the only games this year that I pick the 'Boys. (With a confidence ranking of 1 or 2.)

according to ESPN’s website the Cowbays have the lowest payroll in the NFL this year at $45 million, $5 million less than the second to last team, so atleast we can use that as an exuse.

that was supposed to say Cowboys, here is the list from ESPN

That’s probably because we have something like $26 million in salary cap penalties from players not on our roster, like Troy and Deion. We’ll see what happens next year when $22 mil. of that is gone. Maybe we can hire a real QB…

Um, and we’ll see on Saturday what happens in the Red River Shootout. I hope you Okies like tear-flavored beer, yer gonna be drinking a lot of it.

Hey now!!!

Dem’s fightin words.

Besides, the line was 22 points. Snowballs have a better chance in Hades.

I grew up in Oklahoma during the Staubach years. I was a Cowboy fan. But I also grew up in Oklahoma during the Switzer years, and they lost me when they hired that waste of human ethics.

I was in Oklahoma when Aikman left OSU. I hate the bastard for leaving for a “better” team rather than sticking with them that brung him to the dance. That’s bullshit.

I also moved to South Carolina during Anthony Wright’s last couple of years. Look at the man’s record, and wonder with me why they signed him, let alone are thinking about letting him start. Can anyone say “worst record in NCAA history?”

Now? Screw 'em. Jones has hosed everything he had that might work.

And, TexasPlayboy, they’ll send 'em across the Red River with another win. Tuck Fexas.
