Yep, I almost always wear socks. Especially during winter, my tootsies get too cold if I don’t. I take them off for showers and sex, that’s about it.
I wear them about half the time. Right now I’m sitting in my living room in my bathrobe, no socks. Later when I put my boots on, definitely socks. I used to hate to wear them, but then I discovered good socks. I have to second MC here, good hiking socks are the best. I’m addicted to my Thorlos.

Another happy barefooter here. I usually only wear socks if I have to wear enclosed shoes, and I only wear enclosed shoes if it’s too cold to wear sandles. I go barefoot whenever I can get away with it, including going to class, to work, shopping, etc. Unfortunately, the weather in Wisconsin prevents me from doing this about 5-6 months out of the year. 
I don’t understand the whole pantyhose deal, either, and I’m female; 'course I usually only wear long, ankle length skirts–I don’t even have to shave my legs if I don’t want to. 
If it’s cold I’ll wear long underwear or leggings or something underneath, but otherwise I go bare-legged. Pantyhose itch like a bastard.

Women should never be taught to shave their legs- leg hair is natural and sexy, IMO.
Socks are cuddly, though, to agree with jawofech- I like to see them curled up in little balls.

The only time besides sex and showers i don’t wear socks is when i’m going to bet and it’s a really hot night.
I’ve got cute little black trainer liner socks on. Sometimes I wear socks in bed, but only to warm my feet until I’m ready to go to sleep. When I take them off, the feeling of warm but free feet is quite exquisite.
