At 2:40pm EST yesterday, I posted this thread asking for microscope recommendations.
About two-and-a-half hours later, Argent Towers posted the exact same thread.
Don’t want to click the link? I’ll post our OP’s.

I want to buy a microscope. Preferably one that I can hook up to my computer and take digital pictures and video with. I’d prefer it be made of metal, but I wouldn’t pass on quality sturdy plastic. I don’t know if single-lens or dual-lens is better, but dual-lens always seemed to make my eyes all googly. Maybe I’m looking through it wrong. Oh, and I don’t want to spend a lot of money. Probably $100 at the most, and I’d probably go a little more if the Excalibur of microscopes presented itself to me.
I know we have a lot of science types on these boards. Can anyone recommend a good microscope for home use? Thanks.

[QUOTE=Argent Towers]
I’d like to get a good microscope for looking at stuff. Preferably under $300. I don’t know anything about microscopes; there are a hell of a lot of them on eBay, that much I do know, but I need to be guided by someone who knows the different brands and which ones are good and which are crap. Could someone recommend me one? Let me know about different options (can it be connected to a computer? Can you capture screenshots from it with a program?)
Can you see sperm cells moving around, under a typical microscope?

With a few variants, Argent Towers’ post sounds very much like mine.
Additionally, my thread so far has 0 replies. Argent Towers’ has 27. What gives, Dopers?
Maybe these threads are complete coincidence, but it doesn’t seem like it from here. The joke about Agent Foxtrot/Argent Towers having similar names is no longer funny. Any other time, Towers’ thread would’ve been closed since I already created a thread on the same subject. He could’ve just posted in my thread.
Seriously, what the fuck?

I caught the thread after it was bumped later that day. Sorry, I didn’t see yours first.
