Well, it is official now. I’ll be moving to Phoenix next month. Probably right around August 15.
Anyone up for a dopefest?

I can’t drive to Phoenix (from Tucson) any time soon, as my AC just went out in my car and I’d rather not die on the freeway due to heat exhaustion, but there was a thread about a Phoenix dopefest a while back. I don’t know if they ever got around to having it or not… the heat makes us all a bit lazy.

What sort of food do you like? I’ll list all the good restaurants I know.
Mexican! Hopefully, spicy.
With out a doubt, the best spicy Mexican food is Los Dos Molinos. They have two locations in the Valley - one in Mesa on Alma School near Broadway, and one at South Mountain, which is a beautiful spot. They also have a location in Springerville, so you can have great Mexican when you go skiing at Sunrise.
Richardson’s is also very good, and my favorite Torta shop is Guedo’s, in Chandler.
There is a lot of really bad Mexican food in the Valley, but there are enough good places to make up for it.
I’m around and do have a car with excellent AC - if a dopefest in the Phoenix are a comes up and you want to go, let me know - I’m more than happy to drive/have another driver along.
Cool. Even if we don’t need to carpool, it’s a good idea to do so.
Hopefully I’ll be getting it fixed or another car soon- I can’t take it much longer. And not being able to go shopping and kick around town on weekend days is killing me.
