You must be pretty young. His record in this regard has been known for decades. But I’ll check around and see if I can’t come up with a cite for you.
Again you repeat the same claim with no cite to back it up. Am I just to take your word for it?
This board is meant to be about fighting ignorance, not spreading it if it suits your political POV. Cite for your continued use of this claim, or retract it, please.
Dio/C I hope you don’t mind me beating the drums while you’ve been away. I hope it’s not too much of a hijack.
and Guina enjoy:
Arnold Schwarzenegger, b.7/30/47 (Thal, Austria)
His father, Gustav Schwarzenegger volunteered to join Hitler’s SA “stormtroopers” on May 1, 1939, one year after the Nazi’s took Austria. (no we do not condemn the son)
quote ABC news 10/03/77 Arnold…“I admire Hitler, he came from being a little man with almost no formal education up to power. I admire him for being such a good public speaker and for what he did with it.”
No comments on the fact that Hitler had many atrocities performed including mass murder in order to get that power. He was never elected by a majority in to public office. His SA troops, under his command put him there by force or threat of force. Also through dirty deals, manipulation of the labor and political union and bribery of the Catholic church. All of this before he was ever made Chancellor/Dictator by threatening to murder the electors and then commit suicide. They believed Hitler and that as they say is that. (sorry I hijacked my own post)
Arnold did several nude photos for After Dark a gay magazine. Which by itself would be okay. But to later, Aug.'77 OUI magazine article make this statement…“Men shouldn’t feel like fags just because they wan’t to have nice looking bodies. I have absolutely no hangups about the fag business.” That statement couple with allegations that he forced another male bodybuilder (gay) to perform oral sex on him in the dressing room after a workout."
In '78 he does some more photos for Robert Mapple, photographer gay magazine, noted for the photos of men with bullwhips stuck up their ass. Apparently he doesn’t have a hangup with the fag busines. His words not mine. I just find the whole thing offensive myself. Not homosexuality, but the attitude expressed in these interviews and articles. Some are from his own biography. Like the following.
1983 Arnold’s autobiography: “Women are here for one reason, sex. I didn’t have time for romance. I’d just pick then up and fuck their brains out and never see them again.”
Rolling Stone Magazine 1974- “I thought about the fame, about just being the greatest. I was dreaming about being some dictator of a country or some savior like Jesus.”
Aug 1977 OUI mag. - Arnold says, "I didn’t exploit women…
…I just fucked the shit out of them.
…we had girls backstage giving us head. It didn’t bother ME at all.
…and more.
Arnold supported and publicly endorsed his personal friend Kurt Waldheim who was elected President of Austria. It was made public later that Waldheim was an intelligence officer in the SS Nazi Party and was responsible for mass murder in Kozara, Bosnia. He was honored for this act by Hitler. His name is listed on the Wehrmacht “honor list”. Kurt Waldheim was wanted for war crimes after the war but managed to elude capture.
At Arnold’s wedding he toasted Kurt Waldheim and honored him despite knowing his past. Privately, he still supports him today. Although he did express regret for having done so “publicly” before his election.
Jesse Ventura (bodybuilder/wrestler/actor) starred in the 1987 movie Predator. Guess who one of his biggest supporters was during his campaign as Governor of Minnesota.
1989 GHWB names Arnold as chairman of the President’s council on physical fitness. This is where the power bug really gets a hold on him. I’ve got a quote somewhere, I’ll get it later. He describes the overwhelming desire to be a politician. That he can see his …ahh here it is. US News and World Report 1990, Arnold says: "People NEED somebody to watch over them. Ninety five perceny of the people in the world NEED to be told what to do and how to behave. bolding mine
In this interview he predicts that he would run for political office.
quote: “My relationship to power and authority is that I’m all for it.”
1994 Arnold travels to Utah to campaign and support Orrin Hatch who won the election for the US Senate of course.
2000 Democratic Congress killed a proposal introduced and argued by Congressman Barney Frank which would dismiss the restriction requiring presidential candidates be native born citizens. In the debate Arnold Schwarzenegger’s name actually came up as an example.
April 2001 Arnold meets with GWB and Karl Rove to discuss his political future.
May 2001 “”" meets with repub officials and Enron CEO Ken Lay at BevHills Hotel
July 2003 Senator Orrin Hatch introduced an amendment to the constitution to allow foreign born citizens eligibility to the presidency.
Make of it what you may. some bad some not so bad but ***Note: I left out all of the recent allegations regarding sexual crimes that may or may not be pending, depending on the source.
Oh one more quote from his wife Maria. In 1996 (during an interview she was having with a rape victim) Dateline NBC News 1996 Maria said: “Arnold would never touch me again, he would leave me if I ever got raped.” nice guy that Arnold, huh?
Lots more, but my fingers are tired of typing. I had all of this written out in longhand on notes and books in my possession. regards t/k
Ahem. Please see my last post, the one just before this one.
First of all, because the OP is regarding Arnold not Steven. Secondly, because Steven isn’t holding public office. Thirdly, Arnold has his eyes on the Whitehouse. I will never shutup as long as I think the fucking idiots in this country would elect him as the “leader of the free world” whatever the fuck that means. You think GWB has the reins on tight. This guy admitted to having a messiah complex and the desire to be a dictator. He professes his admiration for Hitler and is friends wuth SS war criminals. He has shown absolute disrespect for too many people in his past to believe he’s a nice guy. Power breeds corruption. Do not put an SOB with an ambition and ego the size of his. Don’t fucking do it.
That’s why.
He’s probably talking about the presumption by modern liberals that people are entitled to pillage the wealth of others — after government fatcats have taken their cuts, of course.
In fairness, though, modern conservatives seem to think its okay so long as the fatcats keep all of it.
Um…okay.
Here, have a Zoloft.
That line should’ve read.
Do not put an SOB with an ambition and ego the size of his in the Whitehouse. Don’t fucking do it.
Morning Lib It’s nice to see you. What you got to say about all this?
mood stabilizers, cool. thanks
So you can’t find one, eh? But still happy to repeat the line over and over… Well, give me a personal outline as to why you happen to beleve that, then, since you have no cite at your disposal. If “it has been known” for decades, it must be fairly obvious and easy to confirm, yes?
BTW, my age has no reflection on my ability to read and distinguish fact from fiction.
Well, since you seem to want an answer right now, rather than waiting until I get around to it since I’m currently involved in reading and/or posting to about five other threads, and since you seem to be willing to accept my personal outline as to why I believe it, I’ll tell you read reference to it many times over the years and I’ve seen talking heads on television make reference to it. I’m aware that this information does not constitute a cite, but you asked. If you want a factual cite, you’ll have to wait until I get around to it.
Further, I made my second reference in advance of seeing your cite request and I’ve not spoken of it since. I resent your harping about my alleged continued use of it despite having not provided a cite, when I’ve done no such thing.
Well, here’s a quickie for you. It details a lawsuit filed by a group of Cuban exiles. It claims only 100,000 killed over Castro’s years in power, but i suspect this is only because they feel they don’t enough evidence themselves to support an accusation of more. I found it through Google in about 3 seconds after hitting Enter, by the way. Not exactly back-breaking work trying to come up with evidence of Castro’s murderous regime.
Ahem, perhaps I should include the link…heh, heh.
http://www.hermanos.org/docs/cuban_exiles_file_lawsuit_against%20Castro.htm
And that cite doesn’t say that he did anything… just that some Cuban exiles say he did it.
So what do you want from me? A trial verdict? Any cite I find is gonna be someone saying he did it.
http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/Human%20Rights%20Abuses%20in%20Castro’s%20Cuba
Although exact numbers are hard to determine, several scholars have attempted to estimate the number of political killings committed by Fidel Castro’s regime. R.J. Rummel, Professor Emeritus of Political Science, University of Hawaii, list the number of 73,000 as victims of the democide
15,000 to 18,000 executed for counter revolutionary activities
1,000 extrajudicial assassinations
250 disappeared
500 died in prison for lack of medical attention
500 murdered in prison by guards
150 extrajudicial assassinations of women
I have a few more that cite numbers much higher but this seems to be a well done study. So, here ya go S/A
So you 'do not condemn the son, eh? So what is the relevance of what his father did?
Regardless, you amazingly citeless accusations could use some work. A couple of your alleged quotes are incorrect, along with incorrect sources. Granted, even the ‘correct’ quotes and sources are still of the ‘I heard it from someone who heard it from someone’ type (as in, no basis in fact, and no actual quotes from Arnold), but at least try not to blantantly fabricate quotes and assign them to people.
Firstly, I apologise if I mistakenly read your comments above - I read it as you wouldn’t be interested at all in providing a cite, seeing as you used “can’t” instead of “can” - it may be a cultural usage thing, but it read a subtle scarasm - as in find your own damn cite. So I apologise for the misunderstanding. Plus, there was a simul-post incident at the same time, which confused things.
That said, you seem to be saying that you personally would hold the president of a country directly responsible for ALL the deaths of people that occur under his rule, however they die? You have chosen to declare Castro directly as a ‘murderer’ of those people, with no qualification or remorse? Is that how it works?
You then, obviously, equally hold Bush responsible for the deaths of poverty-stricken people in the US, or the prisoners in Abu Gharib or the innocent victims callously called the ‘casualties of war’? For all murder victims and traffic accident deaths? Or those who die in under-funded hospitals due to lack of medical care? Or the proposed % of innocent people who were killed unjustly under a state sanctioned ruling? You do call Bush a murderer too for these deaths, don’t you? Or is this just yet another example of hypocrisy in action?
Qualification:
This post is in no way meant to be seen as support or acceptance of Castro * and his methods, or to condone his behaviour and policies in any way. But the blatant hyperbole and abject hatred shown here is in no way helpful in the quest for truth about the current situation in Cuba. Castro also has one of the ‘best’ (or ‘least worse’ if you prefer) human rights records of all Central /South America ‘leaders’ yet he is always the one singled out for the majority of the US hatred. Why is that? Because he nationalised some assets?
- Yes, following the revolution, about 500 people were tried, convicted, and executed for various activities undertaken during the Batista regime which were seen as crimes against the people. There have also been many deaths by people drowning in attempting to take that short boat ride to Florida; but neither of these makes Fidel directly a murderer – and certainly not of the “hundreds of thousands of people” you initially claimed.
Apologises to Dio for the random tangential posts / hijack…
