Big Damn Movie Star!

I rewatched this ep today. I caught one piece of dialogue that had eluded me:

Lindsay was, in fact, wearing the ring on her middle toe, Roast Beef.

but one line still eludes me:

When GM is preproposing to Ann, he says something about needing an answer pretty quick, before the something kicks in? Anybody got this?

The “you’ve gotta lock that down” evades me. It makes sense used in one context, but not in another.

Hysterical episode.

GM asks to get an answer before the really hard AP stuff kicks in.

To explain “you’ve gotta lock that down” line. Mrs. Veal is attractive and therefore many men would want her. So, once you have an in with her, you have to lock her down (i.e. marriage) to keep her away from other salivating menfolk. Which apparently doesn’t work if you talk to her about the secular world.

OK, I am now officially embarrassed. I still don’t get it. :o

Anybody catch Tony Hale (Buster) on Stacked the other night?

He plays a Yale MBA who wants a job at the bookstore.

He plays a dumb person on a smart show and a smart person on a dumb show.

Hmmmmm…
