Jeez, this scared the crap out of me. From the frontpage, the most recent post in CF was listed as “Arrested Development offical,” and my brain filled in, “ly cancelled.” Whew.
I missed at least one episode this season (damn my eyes!), but when did GOB get his index and middle finger switched?
That was a couple of episodes ago, called “The Sword of Destiny.” GOB, still blackballed by the Magician’s Alliance, created a ruse in which Buster posed as the magician, and himself as the assitant. Then Buster was to ram the sword into GOB’s belly, at which point he’d reveal himself as the real magician. The Alliance was to be so bedazzled they’d instantly readmit him.
Of course, it went horribly wrong, and Buster slashed off GOB’s first and second fingers. At the hospital, an enterprising doctor switched his fingers while reattaching them, saying that it’s the first time it’s ever been done. The same doctor also operated on Michael three times in the course of one day for similar self-promoting reasons. 
I found a couple of old shows on some VHS tapes I had made to time-shift. This show is hysterical (“Get rid of the Seaward”. “I’m not leaving”.). I encourage every fan to record the shows as they rerun now.
