Arresting POTUS and Veep

Bush and Cheney

Is it me or is it a little strange that he’s never visited the state as President in his two terms? I’d have thought he’d at least have gone while stumping for his second term. Intentional snub for an unfriendly state, or simply just hasn’t gotten around to it?

I suspect it’s been justified more on the basis of why should he go there? The state has, per the US Census, an estimated population of 623,000, compared to a national population of almost 300 million. That works out to being just about 0.2% of the national population.

The President can ‘visit’ more people by choosing moderate sized cities than he could by visiting VT.

Brattleboro is so liberal it allows public nudity. It’s been in the news a couple of times this past year as tourists have taken unseemly advantage of that particular ordinance. Naturally, I can’t find any of them right now, but I used a couple of items as “kickers” to our newscasts back in the fall.

Not any more. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19830252/

Whoever wrote this in the article: “Bush has never visited the state as president, though he has spent vacations at his family compound in nearby Maine.” has obviously never tried to drive from Maine to Vermont, and seems to have forgot about that little state New Hampshire between them.

This is yet another  statement from a whacked out state. (Though I’d expect the same sort of resolution out of Cambridge MA shortly) If they didn’t have maple trees, and some decent ski mountains, I’d say let’s give them to Quebec.

You know, I’m kind of hoping that a few weeks before he leaves office, Bush makes a public appearance in Brattleboro, just daring the local constabularies to work their way through his Secret Service detail and arrest him.

What, specifically, are the "Crimes against our Constitution, are they referring to?

Man, I love Vermont. Get that Secession ball rolling guys!

Um, do these guys fully understand the implications of the Second Amendment, and Cheney’s free exercise thereof?

The inmates apparently broke out of the asylum and headed straight for the polling places…
